Story
I’d never forgotten him - a man I’d yet to meet. Griffin Quinn was my childhood pen pal, the British boy who couldn’t have been more different from me. Over the years, through hundreds of letters, we became best friends, sharing our deepest, darkest secrets and forming a connection I never thought could break. Until one day it did. Then, out of the blue, a new letter arrived. A scathing one - one with eight years of pent-up anger. I had no choice but to finally come clean as to why I stopped writing. Griffin forgave me, and we were able to rekindle our childhood connection.

Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn't know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she's home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there's no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after, but I'm not done with Whitney Gable.

It was just a typical Monday. Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client. After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed. Or so I thought, until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch to. My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance. And that was the good part of my day. Because the gorgeous man who crouched down and looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive was none other than my ex.

Publisher's Summary
He's a Wall Street wolf. She's been hired to tame him.
From New York Times best-selling author Lauren Layne comes a wildly sexy novel of business and pleasure.
Twenty-eight and filthy rich, Matt Cannon is the youngest broker on Wall Street. He may be a "boy wonder", but he's every inch a man. Ask any woman-any night. But when Matt's latest fling makes scandalous headlines, his clients get anxious, and his bosses at Wolfe Investments level an ultimatum: Keep his assets zipped, get a "real" girlfriend, and clean up his act. Only one woman can help Matt with something this hard.
For PR genius Sabrina Cross, the best fixer in Manhattan, playing Matt's steady is going to be a challenge, even if it's just for show. They already have an explosive history, she can't stand the cocky party boy, and worse - she can't stop thinking about him. So who will dare to break her "no touching" rule first? Because when that happens, Matt and Sabrina's game of let's pretend will get so hot it could set both their reputations on fire.

This story was perfect
Samantha Cook and Zackary Webber are the best. Matt was a millionaire playboy wall street phenom. Sabrina was a strong-willed independent fixer, kind of like Olivia Pope of Scandal. They were perfect for each other and had been frenemies with benefits for the last couple of years. Both had marriage phobia/commitment issues because of their backgrounds. Matt got into some trouble that required a fixer and hired Sabrina because he didn't want any women that could possibly fall in love with him. Well needless to say in the end this presented a problem for everyone. It was fun and interesting to see how they got around the situation and I loved it

Amazing
Another perfect book from Lauren Layne. Cannot wait to get to the next one. Honest, Zachary Webber could read the dictionary and I’d happily listen to it hundreds of times. It helps though that Samantha Cook is brilliant and paired together with such a lovely writer, pure perfection. Don’t mind me. I’m just going to buy all audiobooks by Lauren Layne. I’m just gonna escape from the real word while I listen to the next book in this series, Kate and Kennedy’s love story. Wine in hand, cat by my side and eating chocolate buttons whilst I get into bed. Read/listen to them!! Do it!!

Sarcastic, Sexy and Heart Warming, Matt and Sabrina do not disappoint!
Matt and Sabrina’s banter and sexual tension completely make this story for me, I loved seeing these two stubborn go getters FINALLY admit they love each other. Zachary Webber is excellent at narrating Matt’s blasé, yet incredibly passionate and sexy personality. Samantha Cook definitely brings the sass needed for Sabrina yet hits those vulnerable points when her shell starts to crack so perfectly. Listening to these two start to realize that it’s not quite disdain they have for each other but pure attraction and generally a deep rooted experience of finding out what love actually is was heart warming. As they peeled back each other’s layers I was giddy to see them both accept that we all deserve and have the general need for a true, once in a lifetime happily ever after. No matter how sarcastic and dirty it may be.

BORING
15 chapters in and no chemistry between the leads. Nothing happening. I didn’t like they had already been intimate many times in the past and didn’t like each other. I also thought the storyline would have been better between him and his secretary like I thought would happen at the beginning. Waste of many hours :/

👏👏👏
I am in love with Lauren Layne’s Wall Street men😂 They are witty, funny, cute, and complete pushovers to the women in their lives. I can’t wait for Kennedy and Kate’s story! Matt and Sabrina are probably the hardest individuals amongst the group because they are aggressive and solution-finders. They sort of have the same personality and although it was difficult in the beginning, they know they can’t find anyone better than each other. They’ve never hated each other, only get irritated. Their banters are funny in a cheeky way and their friends knew the romance was bound to happen. I liked the introduction of Jared, who pretty much pushed the relationship to happen, and hope he’ll get his own story. Zachary Webber...OMG...I am always down to listen to his narration! I enjoy the pace of his narration and how his tone changes with the reactions of his characters. Can’t go wrong with him! He doesn’t overdo his higher-pitched tones for the women’s lines and it’s actually not bad. Samantha Cook is a good narrator, but I wish she spoke just a tad faster. She speaks very well and clearly; it’s just the pace of how she speaks is irritating. There are some parts where she speaks at a normal pace and it’s great! When she goes back to talking slow, I dread hearing her talk...It’s like reading a book aloud to toddlers. I’ll still listen to audiobooks read by her if the storyline is interesting, but I’m not a huge fan...yet.
