Publisher's Summary
Grier is nursing a broken heart after Boaz announced his engagement to another woman, but life goes on. Or it would if vampire assassins would stop taking pot shots at her every time she leaves Woolworth House. Seriously, who sends archers to deliver murdergrams these days?
To protect herself, Grier must pull out all the stops, even if it means revealing her darkest secret. All eyes are on her, and - for the first time - she begins to understand why Linus wears so many masks.
But the target isn't Grier, and when the archers single him out, it feels like one of their arrows might have struck what remains of her heart.
Contains mature themes.

Loved this book!
Grier and Linus dodge attempts on their lives while unraveling the mystery of who is set out to kill Grier. If that isn't enough to keep them busy, they plan a ball to draw out the Master. The ending was beautiful! Can't wait for the next story!

Great Storyline, great characters
Love this series, this book is a turning point for Grier. Plenty of action keeps the story well paced with some surprises too. Start with book 1. Narration is good, but I read these too. Sometimes I pause the audio to reread the details. The narrators pacing and voice fit the book. I do at times have challenges with differentiating characters voices and if the dialog is spoken aloud. That may be me not being able to multitask.

Holy Crap....
This has become one of my favorite series’. With each book my love for the characters grows. Greer is my spirit animal!
The story seems to take on a life of its own with each page turned and let me tell you that is a hard task! Each new danger or endeavor Greer and Linus go after pulls them closer and closer together. Which, it should. Greer and her protectors are in for a fight they can’t see coming. With each new threat the suspense of what’s going to happen grows.
The last few paragraphs of the book are my most favorite though. I won’t say why as I don’t want to ruin anything for someone else.
I can’t wait to start the next book!!
