Publisher's Summary

In Hustle Believe Receive, Sarah Centrella, author of the internationally popular blog Thoughts.Stories.Life., proves that anyone, no matter where they start from, can change their life, achieve success, and live their dream.

As a single mom living on food stamps, Sarah completely changed her life of poverty to enable her to live her dream in just 18 months. Sarah discovered the tools to change her life after her husband abandoned her and their three small children in 2008. Her story has impacted hundreds of thousands worldwide through her simple eight-step plan for achieving success known as the #HBRMethod.

The book features 51 inspiring stories of people who believe in Sarah's message, each of whom she personally interviewed for this book. They include: NFL star running back Jonathan Stewart; NBA power forward Anthony Tolliver; famed artist Victor Matthews; best-selling author Laura Munson; middleweight world boxing champion Daniel Jacobs; CEO Ryan Blair; and Morgan Stanley executive director Kimberley Hatchett, among many others. Hustle Believe Receive shows how these stories are connected and how Sarah, a single mom from Oregon, manages to bring them all together in the most unlikely way.

Hustle Believe Receive contains true tales of how real people are living the impossible. This book answers the question "how did they do that?" and, more importantly, shows how you can, too.

HASHTAG use annoying

This story would have been much easier to listen to without all the hash tag references in almost every other sentence. I couldn't finish it.

#Hashtag use really detracts from the message

I consider myself to be a big fan and user of social media, but an audiobook is just not the place for it. The unending repetition of the word "hashtag" quickly begins to evoke a "nails on chalkboard" response each time it's mentioned. And it's mentioned A LOT. It would be amusing to learn how many times the word is read in this book.

The message may be a good one, but there just is no place in this audiobook for excessively using "hashtag."

I've never written a negative review, and the criticism is on this one issue alone, but I would hope that the author or Audible (or whomever) might get the message and strip out the hashtag references. It would create an altogether different - and markedly better - experience.

HASH TAG, HASH TAG, HASH TAG

This book may have great content but I had to stop listening after 30 minutes because of the incessant use of the word HASH TAG. I have over 400 books in my Audible library and have never written a review but this book was so annoying I had to voice my opinion. The narrator says the word HASH TAG at least 100 times in first 30 minutes.

#Hashtag Overload

I was so excited to read this book after hearing the author speak in person, and I was a tad disappointed when I started listening to the book as I just couldn’t get passed all the #Hastag remarks... I felt like the phase and and points couldn’t be captured because she kept saying Hashtag this and hashtag that. After about 2 hours I just had to shut it down and say this book isn’t for me, I wish I could hear the story without that remark to just hear her story.

#hashtagsucksforaudio

this book does not work well on audio. her hashtag references need to be removed. there are soooooo many and they are so frequenly interspersed it's impossible to listen to and enjoy. super annoying and distracting from any good points she might be making. also, I'm not a sports fan so found all the testimonials and examples kinda meh.

Hashtag: ANNOYING

I don’t write reviews like Hashtag ever, but I could not hashtag get through this book. I could get behind the hard luck rags to riches story, but HOW did she go from a shitty place to bring a career counselor/life coach:executive recruiter interviewing college athletes on their rags to riches stories. It’s that empty place where we are supposed to believe that she just used Hashtag Positive Thinking to Hashtag Seriously So Blessed to get a job with one year old twins. I think the narrator is really good. And as a newly single mom of both twins under 5 and an infant baby, I wanted to connect with this author. I don’t need another Hashtag The Secret book. I need to know how she networked besides FB, more about her failures...who knows if I’d listened longer than an hour if I would hear that. But I Hashtag Couldn’t Change The Voices in my Head to beyond the Hashtag Annoying. I love the visual poster for Hashtag Visualize It. If you get this book just know you’ll be told inspirational platitudes via hashtags. If you have a Live Laugh Love poster in your house, this book is for you. Hashtag Say It.

Fantastic stories but unbearable to listen to.

I hate the fact that I’m leaving a negative review on here. This review is a reflection on the audiobook, not the author.

The stories are pretty amazing but the excessive use of #hashtag every sentence makes it an unbearable listen.
I didn’t finish the book.

The use of hashtags for social media is useful but not in a book. I understand that the author wants the community to use her hashtags but it’s really grating on the reader/listener.

I’m looks by forward to the next book but please no more hashtags.

Again, I’m saddened to leave this kind of review as I’m a fan of her work but if things are to be improved, it needs to be said.

Please edit this book.

Compelled to change!!

For any person in particular woman, wanting to motivate themselves to get out of a pit. this is the one. inspirational, enjoyable stories, a lyl bit of unexpected explicit language, but an on point honest expression to how she felt about lifes situations faced in the past, which i totally could relate to lol!! not your average dainty listen but i loved it & highly reccomend. A audio you can listen to over and over again.
