This book changed my life
I was in a dark place, suicidal, alone, and didn't know where to turn. My mother told me to get this book. I joined audible just to get to these 31 promises. when I started this journey my ex-husband had just left me, I was making 40k in a job I hated and raising 3 children who were also hurting due the domestic abuse in our home. my self esteem and self worth levels were at ZERO. But God sent me Joel Osteen's book. I listened and recited these declarations every day, several times a day. I wrote them down and kept them in my pocket everywhere I went. and one day I started to believe them. within one week I got a job interview for an international company. I got that job with the opportunity to travel all over the world and a 20K increase. 6 months later i doubled that income with a job that paid me six figueres. My kids and I are still healing and got healthy. I lost 30 pounds. I filed for divorce because I had the strength to believe I could live a better life and move on. and life is better in every way. not perfect, but I've been so blessed. now, every time I need to be reminded of God's promises and love, I listen to this book. I don't write reviews, but want to tell anyone considering buying this book not to wait. Your life can start changing TODAY. Thank you Pastor Osteen and Praise God!

One of my top three books in the last decade!
For any believing Christian or believer in a benevolent universe (and all points in between), this book is a gift of positivity, hope and self-empowerment. For Christians especially, Joel Osteen uses biblical scriptures to teach a God of hope, abundance, and action. I have personally read, listened to, and annotated this book probably 30 times. The message is both simple and deep; believe in yourself because God believes in you. Think, speak and do good and the cosmos (God) will answer in kind. I've read many of Joel Osteen's very good books, but no other book of his (or anyone's for that matter) hits home so clearly in so few words. Not only a must-read, but a must-reread, over and over!

I listen to some parts of this book daily. It's like having your own personal life coach. I recommend this book to anyone, regardless of your faith.

My favorite character was ME. The book is about how I can make me a better person.

My favorite scene is the summary of declarations made at the end to make me a better person for others.

inspiring
Would you listen to I Declare again? Why?
whilst joel osteen has come in for some flak from various people the power of this recording and it's inspirational qualities is undeniable. ive got to admit i have avoided him for years and to my detriment. this is the kind of recording that will put you back on track in your life, its so easy to go astray, and the older you get it seems the more off track you get. without the proper compass in life its hard to correct your course and many of us end up in such a mess and our minds so skewed that to find a way out of it on our own is nearly impossible.
is that why the self help industry is as big as it is, we're all lost and recognize the fact that we can't find a way out on our own, so we search desperately in books and numbing agents?
we look down at the map that was so clear all those years ago, only to find it is now dirty, covered in scribble and gibberish and no longer makes sense.
ive read and listened to hundreds of self improvement books over the last few years but this one is different. this book, i believe will wipe the map clean, if you're like me, you basically believe you're a good person but life isn't working for you, it will be a revelation because when you write your own story in life as we all do its hard not to drift, this book will reveal just how far you have drifted and will inspire you to make the changes you need to make.

Words give life or death
I love this simple audio ... Declaring Word of God over our lives is powerful.
It's more than psychology. The bible says the word of God is a two edged sword - in Greek the word for double edged means twice mouthed - Gods word. Must be spoken by us for it to be two edged sword .. I declare is in line with bible teaching Job says - decree a thing and it shall be established. Decide to believe Gods word then decree and declare it for yourself your family your street your town your nation ... Push through and overcome self doubt and fear - we can do ALL things through Christ - we has to take the thoughts contrary to that word captive - yes at sword point that is at the spoken Word of God.
It's good and one of my favourite audios.

Short but Sweet!
Great little book. Packed full of Christian declarations.
The downside is that you have to keep stopping the audiobook to do the declarations. They were amazing though - full of things I would not have thought of and there is a story with each declaration.

A good reminder of the power of our words
I've always turned to Joel's work and when life gets challenging. His words are powerful reminders of how much we can transform our lives if we only remember that we can tap into everything we want. Definitely a good listen. I have the physical book as well, and sometimes just open the book to a random page for my message of the day for me or for my loved ones. Thanks Joel!
