Started out slow but fast forwarded quick
I love a good psychological thriller and this was not a disappointment. What started out slow turned with a few good twists. I never give anything away but I'm honest with my reviews. Hopefully that helps. So of the content turned my stomach but not enough to turn my opinion around. Definitely worth the money. 😀😀😀

You can only truly understand light from the wisdom of darkness!
This story is told from 3 POVs...a detective trying to solve a double murder, an ex-special forces man trying to find his missing goddaughter, and that of a kidnapped young lady. You won’t believe how these lives intersect! Well written story that keeps you interested. Great job by the narration team.

Couldn't put this one down
An excellent book! Initially told by 3 different characters , until their stories blend. A heart-wrenching story if you stop and remember these horrors do really occur in this world. Well written with engaging characters, I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy suspense. The narration was done very well also.

Good, nothing too thrilling but it was ok
Into the Darkness was a quick paced story! It was layered and really well developed. We slowly get pieces to put together an intricate puzzle. I really enjoyed how the story was laid out for the reader. It was like we were being given two separate stories and over time you start to see little ways that the stories are overlapping. I think it’s a really interesting way to build a story.
My one and only real complaint is that I wish there was more of a thrilling aspect to the story. Now, I did feel the clock ticking down. I’m not sure exactly what I wanted but more thriller/suspense kind of action. However, I can’t complain about the story or the plot. The characters were interesting. We don’t dive too deep into them but we don’t really need too. This is definitely a book where we only know the characters on a surface level.
The narrators did a good job. I'm not sure which guy played the vigilante and which one played the detective but Simon Vance and Shaun Grindell did a great job with the story. They were easy to understand and spoke clearly. Charlotte Cole was the missing and just like the gentlemen, she was good. Her voice clear and concise. I didn't really feel a pulse-pounding response from her narration but she had a pleasant voice. I'll be honest, none of these narrators really threw emotions into this story. I couldn't really feel the fear or apprehension from any of them.

My first Sibel Hodge read
So this is the first book I've ever tried from Ms Hodge and wow, I'm glad I did, it's rivetting from start to finish.
Any book that mentions the dark web will invariably have unpleasant and totally uscrupulous characters in it, this one is no different and the reader knows from early on that Toni is in big, big trouble after poking around in the dark web, a place best left alone.
The characters are all interesting and likeable (except the bad guys who are eminently dislikeable) and the narrators all do a fine job.
I certainly recommend this book to all fans of dark thrillers.
