Beautiful!
The references from American music industry did not ring a bell as I am culturally distant from it, but there is something mysterious and same time soothing about Alicia's voice that never let me loose grip on her story. Love to see her living her full potential. The state I am inching towards, and hence this book is very special.

Great Surprise
Aside from a few major hits, I didn't know who Alicia Keys really was. I wanted to start listening to audiobooks and read a few good about this one, so I gave it a try. Gorgeous surprise. Alicia has a very strong and powerful life and the audio is superbly produced. One of the best things in life is to meet new and interesting people. Listening to Alicia I did meet a great woman and became a fan.

A masterpiece
The storyline is authentic and a true story of Alicias life. Every girl, mother, aspiring singer, entreprenwur, anyonr needing inspiration to love life and self should read this book. A book for all races, super inspirational, thriller, a beautiful story well weitten and told. Will read it again and again.

Autobiography by Alicia Keys spoken in her own voice and includes intros by other people who inspired her such as Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Bono, her mother, Swizz Beats her husband and more. Told in such perfect poetry and power! This book will inspire you to walk to in own path and live your own destiny, to find your own voice, to stop playing small and let your light shine, to self-discovery, to deeper purpose, spirituality, it talks of race and the experience of black people and being bi-racial, feminism, being androgynous, identity and more. It feels like Alicia is sitting right there with you. Highly recommend this! Powerful!!

Best audiobook I've ever heard
I kept pausing to go relisten to a song after the explained state of mind when writing it. i kept pausing to write quotes. i kept thinking. it was really really good. She reads so well and with so much love and passion

Excessive self promotion
Undoubtedly Alicia Keys is a remarkably talented artist who works hard. But I found the way she emphasises how hard she has worked and how incredibly amazing everything she is involved in a little annoying after a while. She makes an interesting argument against modesty towards the end of the book, but it isnt an argument that resonates with me personally. Ultimately she now has a huge team behind everything she does and some of those people could easily be working harder than her but not seeing anywhere near her wealth and luxury. Her description of numerous over the top birthday parties and gifts also clashes with her talk about charities etc.

Alicia more powerful, More herself.
Some of the best hours I have spent were listening these words of an evolving woman .She honestly has passed the baton to us challenging us as we go on the journey through her life .It is not just her music that important to us it is as women and human beings that is important to us .Her outer and inner world view is important to us all. This is a unique opportunity to look within and express who we really are and it comes through so loud and so clear. Be all sides of yourself. It's alright.i am more motivated than ever because of this book to be all that I am . Thank you Alicia. Looking forward to your next Chapters and your next books . Love and peace.

Yes yes yes. As a fan Alicia from day one I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this. Especially being a musician and living life authentically, this is a beautiful story to listen to and will inspire you in all ways!! Wonderful, 5 stars, actually no, a million stars and all the love. Amazing.

Perfect voice to listen to

More Alicia, yes please!
Alicia’s music has always moved me in various ways & to hear her story narrated in her own glorious spoken voice, listening to her at the centre of my head (thanks AirPods), taking walks & cleaning the house with her stories I couldn’t get enough of. I connected with her daily till the last word.
I found this book through hearing Alicia speak on Instagram with another brilliant author, Glennon Doyle. Glennon’s book, Untamed, and Alicia’s book are two relevant masterpieces that have kept me on a glorious path of uncovering my stuff and opening my heart, during CoVid-19.
This book plus Untamed, for me, are catalysts, shining examples of what’s possible with focus, hard work & a steely perseverance for being your true self. Perfect companions for quality time spent in solitude, to step into a different future, reborn.
