1990s, Kashmir
In the dense forests of Kashmir, where silence was shattered by gunfire and loyalty was measured in blood, one man redefined courage. Captain Arun Singh Jasrotia, an elite officer of the 9 Para (Special Forces), wasn’t just a soldier; he was a storm in olive green.
Covert operations against the enemy, a formidable information network, heart-pounding assault on terrorist strongholds – this action-packed official biography traces the journey of a quiet and resilient boy’s transformation into one of India’s finest Special Forces operatives.
Awarded the prestigious Ashok Chakra posthumously, the highest peacetime gallantry award, Capt Jasrotia exhibited unmatched valour and bravery in safeguarding his team and fighting terrorists in Lolab Valley. Even with death lurking at every corner during the operation, he put the safety of his men first and laid down his life in the line of duty, and a legend was born.
Para Commando is the untold true-life account of Captain Arun Singh Jasrotia of 9 Para (SF). It captures the fierce spirit of the soldier who lived and died by the motto of Balidan!
