Action and adventure!

Perilous Hunt is packed full with action, adventure, and humor. The story is engrossing, the performance by Kate Reading is excellent. I can hardly wait for the next story in the series.

Enjoyable Story But Not Family Friendly

I have been uncomfortable listening to this book with my son. I have skipped over the “romance” scenes. Does that make me a prude? Perhaps. Nevertheless, there is far too much talk of penises and foreplay.

The rest of the story is very entertaining. I am anxious to find out if Alisa is able to keep her promise to Jelena AND get her daughter to accept that her mother still has a life to live, even if her husband is dead. And what does the future hold for the Alliance AND the remnants of the Empire AND the renegade starseers? For that matter, what does the future hold for Jelena?!

I’m enjoying the story, the characters are realistic, possessing but positive and negative qualities. What I DONT like is the narrator. I’m sorry I don’t want to be rude but I feel like she shouldn’t read stories with male characters...she can’t get the voice right. She makes them all sound ignorant or obnoxious. I also feel like she adds a flippant quality to the protagonist nature.

Excellent, fast-paced adventure

Loved this installment of the Fallen Empire. So many wonderful characters, and such a twisty plot. Highly recommended!

Romance Snarky Commentary. Action.Light SciFi

Yet One Voice cannot do justice to all the characters (Especially Males)
The Series is consitent. Not hard SciFi by any means. Similar to Robert Heinlein but mature themed a snarky banter.
At 13-15yrs old I would've devoured it and proclaimed its greatness. I am a romantic at heart so will likely continue series.

great characters and story line. action pack which great romantic over tones. I am looking forward to listening to more and starting the next part in this series.

Great audio book great performance

both the reader and writer did a great job cant wait for the next book they could make a awesome movie out of this but it would have to be like lord of the rings and made into multiple parts are even a show :)

Would you consider the audio edition of Perilous Hunt to be better than the print version?

The books and the narration both are super in this series. We can't wait for the final book to add to our Audible collection!!!!!

Both Alisa and Leonidias.

What does Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kate Reading is super, she brings the characters to life. She adds the inflections for both the serous and comedic, she just makes us laugh and cry and enjoy anything she reads. I added a new series of books to my library because she was the narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I have listened to this series several times. Every time a new book in the series is released we listen to the whole series again.

We can't wait until the last book in the series is available and would love it if the novellas could be added to Audible and read by Kate Reading.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. I will be watching closely.

FABULOUS SF SERIES. ONE OF THE BEST.

Most enjoyable. Captain Alisa and her cyborg lover, Leonidas are again caught up in lots of action and danger. Finally she found her daughter, Jelena and Prince Thorian. But there are enemies who are after Prince Thorian and they are determined to capture him. A very interesting continuation of the series and I can't wait for the next book to be published. Worth the credit. Lindsay Buroker is a very talented writer and the performance by Kate Reading is excellent.
