About this listen

Profoundly deaf since early childhood, Caleb has always lived on the outside - watching and picking up tell-tale signs people hide in a smile, a cough or a kiss. When a childhood friend is murdered, a sense of guilt and a determination to prove his own innocence sends Caleb on a hunt for the killer. But he can’t do it alone....

Critic Reviews

"Viskic has created a genuinely unique and captivating character who deserves a place alongside Jack Irish and Cliff Hardy." (P.M. Newton)

I've heard the book on Audible and was very pleased by the narrator. His intonation was just perfect; one can make out the difference in the dialogues; who was speaking and with what context.

As for the book - I loved the central character. His deafness is amazingly crafted to go along the story!

Amazing narration and great character development
