Publisher's Summary
Marriage was her only means of escape...
Though Honora Tannach came of age amid the misty moors of the Scottish highlands, where warring clans battled to the death for the future of their wild land, nothing frightens her so much as a lifetime trapped in the castle of her cruel stepfather.
She is thrilled when a marriage is arranged to the son of a Scottish laird...until her betrothed is revealed to be Cavan Sinclare. Though the savage warrior once saved her life, Honora knows no one can tame the heart of such a brute, no matter now finely chiseled his features or how enticing his eyes...
After escaping his captors, Cavan's only concern is protecting his clan from the menacing invaders who threaten at every turn - and his beautiful wife is a dangerous distraction. But in the face of fiery passion, their reluctance will fade...and Cavan will discover that there is no greater strength than the power of true love.

ok
Donna Fletcher is a first time author. The "hero" got on my nerves blaming himself. But I kept listening and the storyline gets better. Of course Antony Ferguson makes the story come alive. Enjoy. 😄

Repetitive
I really wanted to like this story, but it repeated the same sort of scenario again and again. The mystery was painfully obvious and the one thing that held my interest to the end was never resolved. The narrator also took some getting used to for the females.

Enjoyable story
Loved the story and the characters. I couldn't say that there was any boring parts to the storyline It kept you interested till the end. I would say that the best part of the story was the ending being married in the magical clearing in the forest under the stars and the heavens.

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. The characters were all interesting in their own way.
The narration was good...very important for the enjoyment of an audiobook.
Looking forward to the next in this series...and hopefully more in the series.
Thank you Donna Fletcher and Antony Ferguson!!

It was ok
Mediocre storyline saved by a great performance by the narrator. Little plot development with way too much repetition on the thoughts of the two main characters. The climax was a bit of a surprise but only because there was no warning in the storyline.

Story not bad, narrator terrible
The narrator sounded like a robot version of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Made it really difficult to fully immerse into the story. The intimate scenes were a bit corny.

Very pleased
This book was really good overall. There’s a mystery that doesn’t get solved making me just want to continue her work. There is murder, escapes, revenge, and justice. I’d recommend this book, very good portrayal of a tortured soul.

Nice enough a story, but heavily diluted....
Lots of "stating of the obvious" in a story that could be much more fluent. It is sadly the price you have to pay for the lengths rather than content of the novel. I felt sometimes if this was written for children with all the chewing over the already well defined, however the steamy love scenes state the opposite.
Good narration with true Scottish burr, only very occasionally one can tell the slight American influence.
