Publisher's Summary

"When I was just nine years old, I began learning how to become rich by playing the game of Monopoly®. If I'd just been lectured to about money management, financial responsibility, and investing, I doubt I would have listened and I doubt I would have achieved financial freedom early in life. Instead, I might be stuck in the Rat Race working hard, deeply in debt, and worried about keeping my job or having enough money for my retirement. But because I enjoyed learning when I was young, I wanted to learn more. I was on the road to financial intelligence."
—Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad

You're never too young to start! In Escape the Rat Race, you’ll find out:

  • How "working to learn, not to earn" paves the way to money-making opportunities.
  • The basics of making money by creating assets.
  • How to make money work hard for you, so that you don't have to work so hard for money.

From the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad - the #1 New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and USA Today best seller.

Great Story, Okay performance, but not for me.

This feels like an episode from an 80s sitcom/drama. Which, if you're into nostalgic acting then you might enjoy this short story.

The voice acting would be dated even for today's kids. I was trying to see if I could gain some insight for my kids in the near future (age 9 and 6) but I would say they would probably not listen to this story.

For where I am in life (34, family, small business owner) I do not recommend it. It's basically a "Rich Dad Poor Dad" excerpt.

Nails on a chalkboard

I appreciated the message but that one kid that was telling the Kiyosaki story has THE WORST voice. I get it, he wanted to sound like a kid, but that voice is going to be in my nightmares.

Great for the beginner

This is a great book to listen to if you haven’t heard this before. Mr. Kiyosaki is teaching a mindset. This illustrates that mindset in the most basic of forms.

Error

This choice was made in error. I was expecting Rich Dad Poor Dad. I hope to purchase the original on my next attempt.

Easy to Understand

Role play is good. They speak slow and clear making it easy to understand and replay the lesson taught to Rob K. while growing up with a poor dad and also a rich dad.
