Publisher's Summary

"When I was just nine years old, I began learning how to become rich by playing the game of Monopoly®. If I'd just been lectured to about money management, financial responsibility, and investing, I doubt I would have listened and I doubt I would have achieved financial freedom early in life. Instead, I might be stuck in the Rat Race working hard, deeply in debt, and worried about keeping my job or having enough money for my retirement. But because I enjoyed learning when I was young, I wanted to learn more. I was on the road to financial intelligence."
—Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad

You're never too young to start! In Escape the Rat Race, you’ll find out:

  • How "working to learn, not to earn" paves the way to money-making opportunities.
  • The basics of making money by creating assets.
  • How to make money work hard for you, so that you don't have to work so hard for money.

From the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad - the #1 New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and USA Today best seller.

Great Story, Okay performance, but not for me.

This feels like an episode from an 80s sitcom/drama. Which, if you're into nostalgic acting then you might enjoy this short story.

The voice acting would be dated even for today's kids. I was trying to see if I could gain some insight for my kids in the near future (age 9 and 6) but I would say they would probably not listen to this story.

For where I am in life (34, family, small business owner) I do not recommend it. It's basically a "Rich Dad Poor Dad" excerpt.

All parents should share this with their children

I definitely wish I learned about this book in middle school. If I’m being honest, this book described investment jargon in a simplified manner. I listened to this book while I was cleaning and I learned so much

Introducing financial ideas to kids

This story tries to impart financial information to kids in away they will understand. The characters give ideas and situations that kids would understand to make the reader think about finances. The story was a bit dry and easy to lose track of but overall could make a difference by introducing money ideas. It was great that they had multiple speakers however many of them sounded the same. It was hard to determine who was speaking.

Didn't expect how much lesson I got from it.

The book was in story mode, and theatrically presented, and to mys surprise, this gave me a clear review of Rich Dad Poor Dad.

Quite enlightening

I’m young and just figuring out finances. This was enlightening. Taught me what more to look into. Definitely a good first step.
