Publisher's Summary

Headphones recommended.

Surrender to total relaxation with this hypnotic sound bath that evokes a sense of safety and security. The resonant hum of crystal bowls has been shown to relax your body and nervous system, the perfect first step to deep sleep. In order to get the most out of your listening experience, pioneering sound therapist Sara Auster recommends you dim the lights and lie down or sit in a comfortable position with an eye mask and a blanket, silence any alerts or notifications, and use earphones. These things allow you to completely unplug and connect with the present moment to intentionally prepare for sleep. Your body has permission to slow down and rest, to receive without the need to respond or react. Begin your experience by focusing on your breath, then allow yourself to drift into a spacious and dreamlike state. All you have to do is arrive with an open mind, and listen.

Sara Auster is the leading voice in sound bath experiences and considered a master of the form. Sara has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue, Time, and O, The Oprah Magazine, and she has facilitated large-scale, site-specific sound-bath experiences at iconic venues around the world including the Museum of Modern Art, Madison Square Garden, Palais de Tokyo, and SummerStage in Central Park. Her live sound-bath events are celebrated as transformative, therapeutic experiences for balance, relaxation, and well-being. We’re thrilled to be able to bring this unique sound experience to the comfort of your own bedroom for the first time.

More Like Anxiety Bath

I really wanted to like this... I tried to listen to it to relax, and fall asleep, but it just has a very cold, ominous, almost evil sound. I just don't understand how this would be calming to anyone. I may the outlier, but to me, it sounds like 'murder by bells'.

Forceful

Parts of this soundscape are beautiful and embracing. Yet significant portions of the sound engineering are forceful in directing the mind’s attention to the path of the sound. Thus I didn’t find it so peaceful and encouraging of mindfulness as I found it willful on its own behalf.

I did not hear a narrator.

I much prefer Sara’s compositions in the vein of Tuning In, a much more spiritually generous track.

I love it so much

This recording with the Sleep Sounds technology has helped me to get into deep sleep after awakening and thinking that I would like to get back to sleep yet didn’t know how to get back to sleep until I listen to this. Yay!

Annoying higher pitched staccato section

Annoying higher pitched staccato section was annoying and not relaxing.
The lower tones were great, wish they were the whole performance.

Sound asleep in minutes

After having trouble falling asleep, this recording had me asleep long before reaching the end.

Not helpful

Not soothing restful sounds. Kept me awake. I don’t recommend this as a sleep aid.

Anything but safe and sound!

The reverberation is anything but "safe and sound"!
But what do you expect? These things have no peer-reviewed scientific efficacy study.
