They call him The Mute for a reason.

Hard, cold, and calculated, he rarely speaks.

When he does, it's with disdain.

When he does, his words aren't meant for me.

When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.

He is 33.

I am 18.

He's a single dad and my father's business partner.

I'm just a kid to him and his enemy's daughter.

He's emotionally unavailable.

And I am...feeling. Feeling things I shouldn't feel for him.

Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn't just on the wall, it's inked on my soul.

And yet I can't stay away.

A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we're going to give them.

And oh, what beautiful chaos it will be.

My favorite one yet!

first off, the narration was perfection. Rexroth and Edie were a disaster apart and even more so together. Shen took 2 strong confident characters and put them together in an explosive display of power. who was going to win the game.. or could there really be a winner? hearts that are so hard come together and we wait with baited breath to see if they can crack

My Fav Hothole

I have listened to the entire series, which I have loved, but this is absolutely my favorite. My favorite men are usually the anti-hero who take forever to come around, but when they fall... sigh. My favorite female characters are the strong w/o anger types. This story had both. The cherry on top was Luna! The narrators were perfect for my ears and I will be looking both up with their other work. LJ Shen is just a one click for me, period!

Pretty sure this is my favorite in this series!

This book was just amazing! This series is amazing. I highly recommend this series. It's entertaining, it's real life, it's addicting, it's worth a credit and then some. You will be hooked and won't want to stop until the last page has been heard. I listened in 1 day! Plus The narrators are a perfect fit. ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely loved the narration of this one!

Audiobook: Narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Christian Rummel

The narrators did an exceptional job! I was never confused as to who was speaking or if they were speaking or thinking. They both gave so much life to the characters and helped to pull me deeper into the story. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Edie carries a heavy burden and does everything she can to make sure that burden is cared for. Even if it means breaking the law. When Trent intervenes he warns her that he’ll use what he has on her at a future time. He is dark and dangerous and despite being her father’s business partner, she is so very attracted to him.

Her father is also holding something against her, threatening what she holds most dear. If she doesn’t do as he instructs, he will crush her in the worse way possible. Setting her up in a job at his company, he tells her his expectations and sits back to wait.

Although Edie is almost half his age, Trent is being slowly driven crazy by the teenager. He hates her, but craves her. He doesn’t trust her at all, and yet she makes his little girl smile. This whole thing they have going on between them can lead no where but to disaster but he can’t stop himself from taking her and making her his.

I loved that Trent was so possessive of Edie. That despite the burning animosity they held for each other, he gave in to his desire. This is one messed up relationship but dang if it didn’t work.
Scandalous was an awesome book that I just didn’t want to stop listening to once I started. I loved everything about it, with just a minor exception – my safety friends would agree. Nevertheless, I must go back and reread Vicious because I might just be able to love him now that I know Trent so well.

Audiobook Narration Doesn't Get Better than this!!!

Blown Away!!!
Trent Rexroth takes the cake!!
I didn't think LJ Shen could out do herself after Vicious and Ruckus but I was completely wrong.
Scandalous was FANTASTIC!!!
LJ Shen can weave words together like shes mastered a craft. Her story line, characters, and overall delivery of this book is like nothing you will ever experience.
I listened to this on Audio and I'm so glad I did.
When the book was released I wanted to read it so bad but I held out, waiting for the audiobook.
Narrator Christian Rummel speaks like his words are made of butter. It's so sexy and he nails the whole bad Boy thing like it's nobody's business!!
Absolutely my favorite male narrator!!
Savannah Peachwood is the perfect Edie. She has that sweet and soft voice yet also pushes back.
Both narrators made this story come to life.
I could listen to them all day on repeat.

This story was heart pounding. Highly addictive and wickedly sexy.
The power plays. The need for control. The forbidden.
It was all that and more!!

LJ Shen is my go to, one-click author.

You have not experienced a book that gives you all the right feels until you've experienced a work of art by Author LJ Shen.

Highly Recommend!!!

love Trent!!!

I have been waiting to listen to this next book in the series and it is my favorite! I like how this was an enemies to lovers story but it was also about overcoming so much. Not only was the story great the narrators did such a great job with not only reading the story but they brought the feelings acrossed in the story. I loved it!!

Nope! Can't get past the fact she is 18!!

I know I am in the minority here but I didn't like this book. It's not the age difference that bothers me but the fact she's 18yrs old and just graduated high school. Come on that's just wrong in so many ways. I know it's fiction but it's just the wrong message to give young girls.

Excellent!

This was an amazing Novel, especially to experience it audibly! The Narrator's did an exceptional performance and the story is such a unique love story that it's one of those rare Novels that one can only hope to come across that you literally just can't put down until you are finished yet once you do come to the conclusion; your sad and feel desperate for s sequel!

Hated the male narrator

Ok so I know he is suppose to be a mixed race guy but does he really need to sound like that??
it’s soo exaggerated, this is a professional guy that has a higher education and grew in a semi decent area but they made him sound like a guy from the hood ... no offense to anyone here of course . just saying that not all black people sound like they are straight from the hood especially the ones that have a higher education and are running a multi million dollars hedge funds company ... I couldn’t get I to the story because of the male narrator .

Brilliant story! Shame about the voice actors

The racism hits hard in this one, hate the accent the male voice puts on, a faux pas. Really should have used different voice actors with each story!

Good

Didn’t like the age difference nor the sex scenes in this story. Though I know that maturity and age are not always matched I thought this was the very edge of acceptable. I wouldn’t have chosen to listen if it was not part of the series which I’m really enjoying and it’s not put me off at all. I enjoyed it mostly because I knew most of the characters though you don’t have to have listened to the previous books. Looking forward to the next book.

Trent and Edie. WOW!

WOW.

This book.

Trent and Edie.

He’s 33 and she’s 18.

I THINK THIS IS THE BEST OUT OF THE SERIES SO FAR!

I’m sure I devoured this in like 48 hours. I couldn’t stop listening, I needed to know what happens.

I feel sad that it’s over. I need more of Trent and Edie.

I need to share this with you all. Be sure to be extra careful where you are when listening to the sex scenes in this book, because they’re GRAPHIC. My AirPods disconnected on me in the middle of Home Bargains whilst doing my cleaning supply shop this morning. Yes, it begin playing out-loud from my bag. Yes, the shop was busy at 8:30am this morning.

Ah well, everyone was probably jealous of my smutty read!

OK!

I have to confess this is my least favourite book of the series. it took a long time to get into the story and i never really fell in Iove with either of the MCs.

Having said this, I liked the twist and how everything was resolved. I particularly liked the scene with the shells towards the end.

Totally enjoyable

I loved this book by LJShen -while I accidentally read them out of order reading Bane first (which iIalso loved)- it didn’t really matter. If i was to do again I would read in order. Not a fan of the age difference but still stayed up all night listening - the narrators fantastic. Christian Rummel as Trent was OMG! YUM - going backwards now to catch up on what i missed out on:) with the previous books.

Trent and Edie

Trent is a single dad, and nearly twice Edie’s age.
Trent fights the attraction,
Baby Luna doesn’t talk. Her mother left her.
Trent is trying to find Luna’s mother, to gain permanent custody of Luna.
Edie is manipulated by her father. He wants Trent gone from the business. Trent is the last of the “ Hot-Holes” working.
The others are just share holders.

Burning animosity meets Dangerous desires

This was by far my favourite of the Sinners and Saints Series, so much was going on all the time no fillers or fluff was needed. The burning push and pull of Edie and Trent was so hot and was so well written you could feel their tension in every word. Luna was a little sweetheart and I loved ready the interactions Edie had with her.

Life has not been easy for either one of them despite their wealth, they have built up barriers and guarded themselves and that might be the very thing that brings them together.

The burning animosity, the brewing desires and undeniable chemistry makes for one hot story as Edie and Trent go from enemies to scandalous lovers.

Christian and Savanah’s narration was exceptional. Christian’s ability to change his voice to distinguish characters is brilliant.
Both narrators matched their characters perfectly and made this story come to life.

Highly Reccomended
