Publisher's Summary

Colin Henry Wilson (26 June 1931 - 5 December 2013) was an English writer, philosopher and novelist. He also wrote widely on true crime, mysticism, and the paranormal. Wilson called his philosophy "new existentialism" or "phenomenological existentialism", and maintained his life work was "that of a philosopher, and his purpose to create a new and optimistic existentialism".

In this compelling lecture from the 1980s, Mr. Wilson discusses the role of science fiction and esoteric ideas in our everyday lives, and how real life is not so dissimilar from the weird and wild ideas in the fictional realm.

Colin Wilson at his brilliant best.

This is Colin Wilson at his very best. A good introduction for those who haven’t read him and a good refresher for those who have.
