Publisher's Summary

When wizard detective Eric Naill is found stabbed to death behind the salon of hunky witch hair stylist Graeme "Gray" Quinn, it doesn't bode well for the Quinn clan. Especially when Gray's favorite golden shears appear to be the murder weapon.

With both the Council of Wizards and the police after him, Gray must prove his innocence before he and his cousins lose everything. But when his investigation reveals a link between Eric's death and a decades-old secret, things get complicated.

The only way to get to the bottom of it is to seek the help of the one woman Gray is forbidden to get close to - Starla Knight. Meeting with Starla could spark a feud that might change Silver Hollow forever. Only it's Gray's heart that may be the worst casualty.

When's the next one coming.....

Now that the stories have moved on from Issy Quinn, this one is Gray's story. A wizard is found dead at the back of Gray's store with his most prized possession, his special gold magical scissors, causing him to be suspect no. one. To help clear his name to seeks aid from a forbidden source & untangles a mystery from the past.
Maybe I got to side track while listening but I started to get lost with the whole conspiracy of what happened in the past & who was involved. There is definitely more to Gray's story.

This is not my usual genre & I am finding this series a little to PG for me, but am enjoying them for a quick cozy mystery listen. The main issue I have with the whole series is somethings are brought up but not fully settled & involved & just wrapped up so quick & cleanly.
