Publisher's Summary
Star Kingdom Omnibus II contains books 4 & 5 of the Star Kingdom series.
Crossfire, book 4:
For the first time in his life, roboticist Casmir Dabrowski is headed to another star system as an advisor for the Kingdom space fleet. He’s being given a chance to prove himself to King Jager by helping find the ancient artifact he inadvertently lost. It’s best not to think about what might happen if he fails....
But with technologically advanced astroshamans after the artifact, not to mention the deadly mercenary captain Tenebris Rache, it’s not long before the mission collides with disaster.
Soon, Casmir and his friends are caught between warring factions, and he must choose between what the king would want and what he knows is right.
Gate Quest, book 5:
Roboticist extraordinaire Casmir Dabrowski has a new nemesis: astroshaman leader Kyla Moonrazor.
She’s stolen the ancient wormhole gate the king ordered Casmir to retrieve, and she’s entrenched in an underwater base on a forsaken moon. Moonrazor is more educated and more experienced than Casmir, and she has legions of killer robots and cyborg defenders on her side. Casmir has his friends and...a submarine named the Waddler.
As if his task wasn’t daunting enough, his old competitor, mercenary Captain Tenebris Rache, is on the same quest, and he’ll do anything to keep the Kingdom from getting that gate.
If Casmir can’t find a way to defeat them, the king will never let him return to his home, his family, and the career he loves.

This series is addictive!
Fred Berman is an amazing narrator. Each character's voice is totally distinct from the other. The series has been my constant companion for the past 6 months. I am looking forward to the next volume!

Great Space Opera
Well written and wonderfully performed.
This is a great space opera. Nerdy heroes, pirates, knights, robots, quirky AIs, cyborgs, and androids. Lots of action, but with a lead character who thinks and worries about the moral consequences of his actions.
The narrator adds a lot to this audio book. His characters each have unique and easily identifiable voices.
All in all, a really fun listen.

Next book please!
I really have fallen for this series. Was iffy on the narrator but I kind of think he fits the main character and does him well. I have the horrible choice now to read on myself or wait for the audible. Sure hope they hurry😁

Humor is important.
This series is interesting as it is laced with humor. It is just short of cartoonish but delightfully short. It includes the serious themes and action common to the space opera theme but the characters have depth in addition to flaws or foibles. The story lines are both predictable with some telegraphing but also with humorous turns that are sometimes over used. It is interesting to have the focus on the individual in the story and not the technology, action, or complicated political intrigue. It has all that but as an assist in moving the story along. It is nice to have several books in the omnibus options since it allows enough time to come to an interest in the characters. This second omnibus selection moved the plot along. It may not be great literature but it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

ANOTHER GREAT TALE
It's always Amazing to see how some people can weave words together to make more than a story. The characters are so alive and vibrant. A 3D story.

The whole story line is wonderfully written.
I really appreciate the humor and whimsical way some of the characters were betrayed.
What really made this series special for me was how everyone grew and got to see their worlds from different perspectives, and how it helped them to embrace the change . Our world needs to read and learn from this author.
It was enhanced by the way that the narrator used his voice to really animate the different characters.
I can't wait to read and listen for more of the story.
