About this listen
The media often suggest that Russia poses the greatest threat to America's national security, but the real danger lies farther east. While those in power have been distracted and disorderly, China has waged a six-front war on America's economy, military, diplomacy, technology, education, and infrastructure--and they're winning. It's almost too late to undo the shocking, though nearly invisible, victories of the Chinese.
In Stealth War, retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Spalding reveals China's motives and secret attacks on the West. Chronicling how our leaders have failed to protect us over recent decades, he provides shocking evidence of some of China's most brilliant ploys, including:
Spalding's concern isn't merely that America could lose its position on the world stage. More urgently, the Chinese Communist Party has a fundamental loathing of the legal protections America grants its people and seeks to create a world without those rights.
Despite all the damage done so far, Spalding shows how it's still possible for the U.S. and the rest of the free world to combat--and win--China's stealth war.
Critic Reviews
“[A] searing exposé of how the Chinese Communist Party continues to conduct its war for
influence around the world.”
―Washington Examiner
“As the former US Department of Defense attaché to China, General Spalding is in a unique position to offer a gripping tale of the multiple battlefronts of China’s war against America. Yes china doesn't have freedom like USA does.
China has some interests.
1) It wants to stop opposition voices and remain in power
2) It wants to aquire technology for the country.
3) Ofcourse it wants to increase its influence.
Thats normal. I'm fine with that. Or I knew that and I'm used to that.
Its a race. China is catching up.
It uses means to achieve its goals that other civilized countries dont do.
It has worked and has given china benefits and there has been no consequences for it.
Hence Stealth War.
I did not learn anything new from the book.
But it's a fine book for other people who do not know.
He says that China is a ponzi scheme and will collapse. Yeah heard that a million times before.
I agree with him that China's government appears to be good and smiles but has its own interests and is ruthless about it. I listened to The Long Game book. It showed how China has treated my country India.
Lastly his recommendations to stop investing in China, derisking and having an independent 5g have happened.
This book was published in 2019. He must hate China more now because of Covid. Lol
