How you respond to rejection is so important!

This past year has brought me face to face with some challenging experiences of rejection. Kait covers all the areas that, as women, we have to move forward through. I pre-ordered this book because Kait's Heart of Dating podcast has been a blessing in my life! A lot of the chapters echoed what she openly talks about on her podcast. It's some raw, super encouraging content over the topic of rejection that doesn't get talked about enough!

Bravo Kait!!!

This book was like a much needed hug. I feel Blessed to have journeyed through your life & share the lessons you have learned that have helped to you understand & accept rejection as a positive vs a negative. Some chapters were clearly about my life. Lol. Thank you for your transparency. I am better & wiser thanks to you. 💋

Therapy for any Rejection

Kait Warman is best known for her podcasts on dating, so it stands that this book would focus solely on rejection in dating. While this book does contain useful tidbits for dating, this book is so much more than that. It is therapy for all types of rejection that anyone may face. Although it is told through a Christian lens, I predict that anyone of any faith could benefit from this book. Whatever harsh words, trauma or hassle has got you down, this book will lift you up and say that rejection can make you better, not weaker.

Interesting/helpful way of seeing things

I loved the premise and purpose of the book. I think it was laid out well. I am a Christian so the bible verse references didn't bother me. In some ways I wish the book hadn't included them because I think more women will listen and hear their stories and hear real life (not just a Christian's life) experiences and real life solutions. I felt happy to have experienced rejection at the end of the book and am not fearful of it in the future! It's always nice to have the author narrate a book if they have a good voice. I guess Kait has a podcast that many people listen to and enjoy. I had a hard time getting used to her voice though. I'm in my late 50s. She's friendly and pleasant though.

Powerful and practical lessons for anyone!

I have gone through my fair share of feelings of rejection (friends, relationships, jobs...). Needless to say you name it I've prob been there. So listening to Kait talk about her own experiences, and then couple those with practical teaching applications from renown professionals; along with her own life journey revelations was like a giant - YES!!! She gets it!

I think this book is applicable whether you are in a place of feeling rejected now, or are just needing to strengthen some areas of your life now for when the inevitable hits (and unfortunately it's "when" not "if"). The takeaways for me have reinforced my own life lessons, and equipped me with new ways to walking into the lessons still to come.

I will also add (as a guy) that even though Kait writes this through her own lenses the principles are for everyone! So whether guy or girl this book is a great tool for the ol' relationship tool belt. 5 stars all around!

more than dating, this is a book for life

We have all been rejected! Even if your love life is perfect you've experienced rejection from family, friends, your job and so much more.

As a recruiter, I could only think of how many candidates are afraid of being rejected that they don't apply for a new job or promotion. Rejection is simply a part of life and recognizing that every no allows us to find the YESes that are truly meant for us.

The title alone is going to begin shifting your mindset. Admittedly, I assumed it would be another book about Christian dating and getting over heartbreak, but boy was I surprised!

Kait covered rejection in all areas of our lives. Body image and careers and the thought spiral that sets us up for romantic heartbreak is just the surface. Inside we hear deep, honest stories of how we can learn to live out our best lives when we heal from the past.

(I was part of the launch team and received an early digital copy in exchange for a review, but truly enjoyed this book that I also purchased a hard copy and the audible version with my own money)
