I love the world. I love the detail. I love the characters. It's been so long since I read a great fantasy novel that had fresh elements. This one is so fresh and unpredictable. Great, vivid descriptions by the author, and the narrator is such a treat to listen to. Great voice, great performance!

I don't usually like reading novella's but Assassin's Blade is crucial to the whole series and really enjoyed reading about Celaenas life as an assassin. I loved Celaena and Sam's relationship. I loved the array of characters that were introduced and indepth view of Celaenas past life. I am very curious to see if and how these characters appear in the series.

The narrator was brilliant. Of course, the story is gripping and one that you cannot put down. The author creates worlds that are so vivid and characters who are eccentric and endearing. The way that the story builds and climaxes was superb. A book this good was elevated by the brilliant narration by Elizabeth Evans. Loved it. It was my first from the series and my first book by Sarah J Mass.

Cannot wait to delve further into the novels.
