Meh, it's ok...

It's ok. Nothing I didn't know before or could figure out on my own. if you need something to start with it is good but you'll need something more to get over a really bad break up.

The definition of useless

The author fails to connect any kind of real practical knowledge to real life situations, and all of his methods are based on personal experience he doesn't diagnose the problem instead he tells you to man up and accept life, although that is true, the author failed to describe the human nature, if you really want to learn more about how to handle a breakup watch an episode from the school of life on YouTube I promise you, you will learn more than this book another good channel to watch is charisma on demand, good luck !

Strong

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

For an hour, its brief and straight to the point.

Would you be willing to try another book from Andrew Ferebee? Why or why not?

Yes I would be willing to try another book

What three words best describe Andrew Ferebee’s voice?

Clear, engaging,

Was The Break Up Manual for Men worth the listening time?

Yes i think it will be a benefit if someone is in the situation

Any additional comments?

Instead of going about the internet to find answers this is better as it gives the general and straight forward ideas and insight on getting over a breakup. This book is a start but you have to continue and put in the work and remember it takes time.

True, if People Were Robots

Contained a lot of "practical" information, but was not realistic on an emotional level. Talking about how "you were going to lose her anyway" because she is eventually going to die is not going to help someone in emotional pain from a breakup. A problem with most breakup books and online videos is that they heavily lean towards the perspective of someone looking back, who has already healed from a breakup. Someone who is in pain from a breakup needs both, practical and emotional help.

Meaningful for those really struggling with the end of relationships without kids

I found a couple of useful pieces of info here, but most of it seemed needed by someone else. I think this is for two reasons:

1. I’m not in that much pain. I’m not struggling with desired to hurt myself, abuse drugs or alcohol, lay in bed all day, or chase my ex. I don’t curl up in the fetal position and cry. I’m not jealous.

2. I have kids from the relationship, and that changes almost everything. It limits some possibilities (e.g., travel, moving), but augments others (e.g., finding a purpose, feeling loved).

The best part was the daily affirmations. I’m going to do those, for sure. :)

Good motivator to pick yourself up and live life

Most of it should be common knowledge but it helps hearing it from another person. Almost as if they are telling you what to do and how to do it. Often times after a breakup our head might be filled with fog, so this helps clear that fog and help you realize your own potential. Get up and live your life. It's not going to wait for you. Capture it while you can

More of an article than a book. Read Kim instead.

For a 'manual', this is a very short read. On top of the book already being short, Andrew reads very fast, so much so that sometimes it's hard to really retain the information he's giving. Some of the information is true and could be helpful, but he speeds over every topic so incredibly quickly without diving deep enough into each one. It's almost like he was in a rush to get the book out and keep it under an hour. I would much rather recommend something like Single On Purpose by John Kim. It has the same information but in a slower, deeper read. One that's more thoughtful and caring, and reads less like an article with self-promotion thrown in.

Review by an LMFT

Andrew's book is incredibly practical, concise, and linear in methodology towards getting over a break-up. I would have liked to hear more about how men can build emotional depth and resilience vs. just a focus on performance based tasks as healing their pain. The number one reason women break-up with men is due to emotional disengagement and their failure to notice how much it negatively impacts the relationship.

Small But Hard Hitting

100% Going to listen to every morning.

Short but powerful. Going to be tough.
6 and half years gone just like that. Happened less then 24 hours ago.
Already joined Gym and going from London to Newcastle for the weekend to get away. I have to do this for me and listening to this every morning will help.

Thanks, I hope I make it.

I'm a few weeks fresh in a breakup...

And this audio book is exactly what you and I needed! I am going to listen to this every morning. It ALWAYS motivates me - especially the writing sections... making these things physical has some sort of power.

Thank you so much!

Needed this

This book is a must, for all the brothers out there experiencing the pain of a break up. Wish I had found it sooner but better late than never. Listening at least once a day is part of my daily ritual.
No nonsense straight practical advice. It's like listening to a sincere friend, older brother or coach providing real world wisdom and motivation.

Good book when you and the GF leave you

Good daily listen to sort your head out. More for self Improvment and building a better you. More focused on the bro and the girl grind not someone who is married with kids and going through that break up. It a good quick top up for mental health through a break up. You should also have other books in the armoury that have more detail.

More on post relationship would be good

Good tips on the immediate emotional turmoil of getting through a break-up, more time and focus on improving life post break up would be good. Sure there will be another lady, but there is more that can be said post breakup.
