Publisher's Summary
Indulge in the first ever collection of all four standalone romances in the Caught Up In Love series, with narration from Sebastian York, Andi Arndt, Joe Arden, Zachary Webber, Vanessa Edwin and Emma Wilder!
The Pretending Plot
I don't mean to just blurt it out. "Why, yes, I'm engaged!" But once I say it to a potential client, there's only one logical thing to do - cast the role of my fake fiancé. Easy enough. As a casting director, my job is to find the most talented players for every part, so I choose dreamy, edgy, sexy, sarcastic Reeve. And I sign him up for one week in the role of mine....
The Dating Proposal
The seven years I invested in my ex left me with nothing but scorch marks from the way he peeled out and left me at the altar. I'm not looking to put my heart into a relationship any time soon. But getting back out there? That sounds like a helluva good idea to get my groove back.
Then I bump into Chris...
The Second Chance Plan
I have a big plan for my career and it most certainly doesn’t involve my ex. AKA my first love. It definitely doesn’t entail working with him every day on a brand-new project for my jewelry line. And it absolutely doesn’t include falling for the man all over again.
The Private Rehearsal
The first rule of directing is simple: Never fall for your leading lady.
The second? Don’t let it get to you when she stage kisses another man.
Looks like I’ve already broken both...

1 great; 2 so-so and 1-just skip it
The narration is excellent on all 4 stories. Was totally disappointed in Jill’s story, and 2 of the other 3 were only so-so, not nearly up to the usual standards. The collection of 4 stories was well priced for just 1 good one, but the disappointment in the other three was such a letdown

great collection
I like how all of the books tied together. Lauren has a great way of weaving most of her books together with common characters that make you want to continue to listen to this six degrees of separation NYers and their distant friends and relatives. All in, this series were really great slow burn books. I want to love all the narration, but sadly Emma main character voice just isn't my favorite, she sounds proud pretentious and stuck up, however her other voices were usually just fine for the most part... maybe her female friend voices sound a little whiney? Anyhow, all of the rest were fabulous and I'd listen to them a second time for things I may have missed. Recommend this series!

RECOMENDED BOX SET. SEXY,FUNNY AND HEARTWARMING
THE DATING PROPOSAL
A year on from being dumped the day before her wedding McKenna is ready to date again. She lines them up with the help of friends and she plans to enjoy her new dating journey. Then she unexpectedly meets Chris. Mr fix it, tv-show, funny guy Chris * swoon
McKenna gets on so well with Chris she friendzones him. Until the inevitable happens...they realise they're in love with each other.
I loved the chemistry with these two characters, the banter and laugh out loud moments.
A recommended feel-good read with humour.

THE PRETENDING PLOT OR NOW KNOWN AS PRETENDING HE'S MINE
Fun, Sexy with great characters
When down on his luck aspiring actor has a meeting with a sexy no-nonsense casting director he comes away with a part he's only to willing to play...her real life boyfriend.
Sutton needs a boyfriend or fiance to get ahead in her career and Reeve fits the part perfectly, only Reeve has had the hots for Sutton a while and there's very little acting needed on his part.
This fake boyfriend romance isn't unique there are a lot of books like this out there and to be honest, I do like these kinds of reads although a lot are very similar.
Reeve and Sutton's chemistry is hot. Reeve is a down to earth swoon-worthy guy and Sutton doesn't stand a chance against his charms, she falls hard. Sutton is a strong British character who knows what she wants and goes for it except when it comes to love which shows a vulnerability to her.
It's one of those stories where one of them has to admit at some point they aren't pretending anymore.

THE SECOND CHANCE PLAN
The second chance plan is a heartwarming second chance romance.
I didn't enjoy this book as much as some of the others by this author, the characters didn't really do it for me or maybe it was because it was too much of a slow burn, not enough drama. That being said it wasn't without humor and hotness that I love in Lauren Blakely's books.

THE PRIVATE REHEARSAL
An adorable, heartwarming story about taking chances after heartbreak
Davis is a renowned and famous director, Jill is on the verge of her big break as an actress in a Broadway musical show.
There's chemistry and undeniable attraction between Julland David but Davis having been burned before has a rule, and that's not to date actresses
The Private Rehearsal is a heartwarming journey where both characters have to learn to trust one another, take the plunge, and give in to fate.
Jill and Davis were no double two shining stars that were meant to burn bright together
ALL BOOKS BRILLIANTLY NARRATED EACH NARRATOR REALLY DID BRING THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE. Recommended box set

Box set review
The Pretending Plot
Wasn't a fan of this one. Not sure if it was the overly contrived and watery plot, or Vanessa Edwin's average Brit accent... definitely not the worst, but distracting.
The story felt very slapped together and lazy. 1 star ⭐
The Dating Proposal
Cute, funny story. Andi Arndt is brilliant as usual and her easy, conversational tone fitted well with Mckenna's character.
The Mckenna/Chris storyline was fun and engaging. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Second Chance Plan
Kat and Bryan's story was a sweet slow burn and I enjoyed the development despite it being 100% predictable. Great narration by Emma Wilder and Zachary Webber. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Private Rehearsal
I wasn't too keen on the premise of this one. Maybe because Sebastian York has such an older sounding voice compared with Ava Erickson, which made it feel a bit "teacher/student" and therefore a bit icky.
4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall, great value, one credit for four books, so 5 stars overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
