About this listen
Everything is right on track for Danielle as she prepares for the grand opening of her bed and breakfast. All that changes when her cousin, Cheryl, shows up to claim her share of the inheritance - housemate Lily figures out there is a ghost in the house - and the million-dollar necklace goes missing. There is blood on someone's hands, and if Danielle isn't careful, she'll be moving from Marlow House to the Big House.
©2014 Bobbi Holmes (P)2017 TantorAhhh... This series is fast becoming my absolute favorite and the narrator, she's so dayumm amazing for this suspense sprinkled, cozy ghostly mystery ride.
Once again we join Danielle, her friend Lily, and our resident ghost, Walt as an unexpected guest arrives back in town.
Danielle is all set to welcome guests for the party and for the start of her B&B which will help her establish her dream finally.
What she didn't expect was for her crazy cousin to arrive in town demanding that she is equally entitled to half of the Marlow estate as she's the only other living relative.
Things take a drastic turn when the famous necklace is once again lost but this time with it might bring consequences that can destroy Danielle and everything she's trying to establish.
Cheryl was a madhouse of sass, self centeredness but also full of herself in the way that she does what she wants and especially wants everything that Danielle wants.
I felt that all the drama Cheryl created was still a bit funny even though she did get on everyone's nerves.
I was rolling my eyes with how she acted yet also was giggling with her craziness and everyone else.
There's something about this book that will give you the feel of being on a beach and getting lost in this cozy mystery book that might be slow navigating through decoding what all happened to solve the mystery, but it definitely keeps you so freaking engrossed that you won't realize when you have reached the last page.
The suspense was so good in this one. I initially felt that I had absolutely nailed who the culprit was because it was a far fetched one and nobody were thinking about them.
But.. Ahhh... I absolutely loved the twister that hits you and I was shocked to find out the reveal and going crazy over the fact that this one I definitely didn't see coming.
All of the characters in this series have become very dear to me and I'm definitely become a fan of this series.
I need more of Danielle and Walt, Lily and Ian and Marlow house antics, that's for sure. Diving straight into book 3. Absolutely loved this one. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This series is fast becoming my freaking favorite 😍
