Did not see the twist coming

What an awesome book. I was engrossed in this story. So much so that I never saw the twist. I actually screamed "Oh my god" out loud in my car. And Imogen Church is amazing as always!!!!

So many reasons to ask why!

Why was this book written? Why was it published? How did it get any good reviews? 6 hours of complete nonsense before the story even begins. The twist at the end was so unbelievable it was ridiculous. Worst book I've read this year.

Good but confusing

Good book but toward the end it got very confusing. Had to keep backing it up and listen again.

Good until the end

This story was pretty good... up until the end.
Not sure what happened but towards the end it got so jumbled & confusing that it ultimately ruined the entire book for me. It was like the author just couldn't figure out what to do & walked away from the book & then went back weeks later & didn't read over what they had done previously so they just started w/the idea they came up while they were away.
A character was in one place, then next scene was in a different place, then next scene was in another different place.. it didn't make any sense and just left me completely confused.
Then the reveal... weak.
Was not a fan of this book.

What?

This book totally had my interest until the last chapter. It was a great story and sad that it was not completed leaving story lines hanging. I suggest not reading the last chapter and making your own conclusion to the main story presented

Interesting story but...

Distracted by the narrator’s constant huge intake of air. Weird breathing during this book reading.

Surprised

Great story that was well written and well performed. But, truly unhappy with how the story ended.

Entertaining listen

Felt the story was pretty good. The best part to me was the narration. I could listen to this narrator read a cook book, she is that goo.

Be advised I'm three hours into this...

With absolutely no hint of a plot whatsoever.

It's set up in a series of flashbacks via diary entries, with the characters seeming to be completely disconnected from their younger selves, taking place between 1969 and modern times.

While the first chapter begins promising, with a proper setup, after that it falls apart.

Narration was excellent

But I found that the first 75% of story was a bit too long and drawn out ...then everything happens in last few chapters. The story also goes back in time, then to present time, and I couldn't always work out who the character was (maybe I wasn't paying attention).
