Start from cjapter 14

Most chapters lack any actionable items and simply tties to motivate you just like any other book out there. If you want exercises to improve your concentration, skip directly to chapter 14 and continue till the end.

Dated book with negative language

I couldn’t finish this book, I really gave it a good try but from the start it showed signs of its age with some decent information offered with negative wording.

I can usually get past books that only refer to men, man and manhood, which in itself can be toxic for men reading this because it puts you down if you don’t have “control over your emotions”, then you are a failure.

I’m a Buddhist woman who love books on the mind and how to build good habits. My two favorite, effective books are Atomic Habits and NeuroWisdom. Both are encouraging and actually give you the tools to understand your emotions (instead of putting them under lock and key) and how to manage mindful habits that lead to a fulfilling and successful life.

This book offers a few of the same advice from those I previously mentioned but presents them in a way that makes you feel as if you aren’t good enough unless you keep yourself on a ridged structure. This leads to negative inner speech, and when you fail at something it makes you feel completely inadequate.

Failure isn’t the end, failures are crucial to understanding what does and doesn’t work so that you can fine tune what needs to be done to successfully reach your goals- however small.

For those of you reading this review, do yourself a favor and pick up NeuroWisdom and Atomic Habits, you won’t regret it and it will leave you feeling more confident in your actions

Awesome book

Written in 1918 it amazed me on how much info it had on LOA and how he broke down it into steps. Plus gives us practice exercises

Just ok

it has some good tips but the author makes it clear he's talking to men so if you're a woman you may want to look elsewhere.
I'm also wondering why the author didn't jump to a world leadership position if he practices what he's teaching.

A lot of great advice

Exercises included to improve concentration.
A great deal of information will need to listen again to catch it all. Not too technical but very professional.

Highly recommend especially if ADHD.

This will uplift your Life

I am fascinated by new age authors. in 2020 their words speaks truth to our lives today. this book was written 100 years ago and is the best advice I received thus far. the narrator is absolutely amazing and I look forward to more books like this one. My all time favorite is Napoleon Hill but this is my 2nd favorite author. I Will listen to this at least twice a year.

Get some first class wisdom

This is the most important subject that people is missing and that’s why a lot of people is failing in life. My life changed when I started to concentrate in one subject at a time. This book have some deeper meanings that only the awakened ones will get it.

One of the best books I've read this year!

The simplicity is what makes this book a great read. Will be rereading this book along with doing the exercises or it would've been for nothing.

A Good Book Worth Listening to Multiple Times

As this was written over a century ago, it’s language and methods of delivery might be different and dareIsay unique to a modern listener but the content and the message is still as relevant as it was when it was first written, and I’ve improved myself considerably after listening this book.

This lesson is taught in a different way that connected the pieces

This book will teach you about concentration in a different way. It will paint it in a different light. Talk about it from a different angle.

For me even though I know the importance of concentration will be powerful I have neglected pursuing mastery. This book will highlight the important of mastery, how it can help you manifest your desires, and exercises to help you on the path to mastery.

Everyone should read this. Life changing.

I first came across this book 25 yrs ago and have read it several times since. Each time I'm refreshed., restored by its content.
This is truly a valuable life changing book.
Written is such a way, that the words, wisdoms and practical exercises become deeply embedded within your mind.

Focused on Motivation

Well, this is a re-narration of a very old book and as such the message is a little dated, that said there are still some good pieces of advice within these pages. There is however little to take home in the sense of groundbreaking 'a ha' moments so those who have read around the subjects of motivation, self belief and cognitive behaviours will learn little from this book.

There are better books on concentration. This one was a bit flat and felt patronising at times.

Fair reading

I personally liked this book, the parts that I took away from it were more of a snippet of knowledge. Nothing stood out to me in the book, but it’s not a negative review, it’s just an average book.
