Publisher's Summary

The Relentless Warrior is book six in the Star-Crossed Series.

Jericho Bentley is disillusioned by life. He feels lost in a world of peace and restless in a time threatened by war. He has given up on love, forgotten how to trust others, and decided a lifetime of bachelorhood is all that remains for him.

Olivia Taylor was struggling to find her way in a human world. Now taken from the only life she's ever known and changed on a molecular level, she is more lost than ever. With her sister struggling to survive the aftereffects of one of Dmitri Terletov's experiments, Olivia sets off with Jericho to find a cure for both herself and her sister. Together, Jericho and Olivia find more than vengeance and answers; they find a deep friendship that might teach them both to trust again. Maybe even to love again. As long as they can both put the hurt of their past behind them for good.

Ehh

I didn’t like the reader of this book, his voice was very monotone and didn’t express the emotions I need from each character he portrayed. This made it hard for me to listen or even finish the book bc his voice made me tired & not excited for the story. The story however was the same as the last. Focused on Jeraco’s love life and not much on the story about the kingdom. I feel like the series went from talking about ruling the kingdom & obstacles with a side of romance, to just pure love stories. Wouldn’t recommend reading any book after the 4th one

Could have been better

Okay, so I really didn't like Octavia.... I understand if you are upset cause you did get a bad deal and you have been thrust into a world that is not believable. What I didn't like was the lack of respect, when someone helps you and keeps you safe you give respect, say thank you . She may not have known magic but she understood what kings, queen and the like are so her attitude was piss poor...the voice of Jericho had gave me no confidence in the character.... The story was a little boring but I like the series overall so I will finish.

not my favorite

I understand that this journey is supposed to be about Jericho, however at the end of the last book it leaves you on a cliffhanger with Eden and this book should tie up those loose ends clearly and it does not do that for me. I do like the journey it takes you on, the twists and turns she always puts in the book it is a good story. I just don't like the attitude that the main character has, it doesn't really fit for me. find her irritating and she has a super big part in the story so she's kind of hard to get used to. I'm also not a fan of how it ended. I do know that there are other books and maybe they will pick up on it we will see I do love the way she writes books so we will see.

Enjoyable

This story seemed a bit of a duplication of previous plots. It was fun to read/ listen to, but had the battle between the good team and the evil team, the girl is kidnapped right after she falls in love, some die, some live...what happens next?

wow so we just skip the story-line ending?

Wow so we just absolutely skipped over the story-line of the fight to free the two main characters of the first five books?! Sum up there escape in one sentence like the live story I get but making the love story the whole point of the book? I don’t get. The plot was good and the invasion even more harder to grasp especially when characters are such ‘good people’ but to absolutely avoid telling that story summing it up into one sentence like we care about their honeymoon meal at mom and dads.. and not an ounce about the other characters or the plot is so frustrating. This is a catchy story line and you do want to know what happens next but as aggravating as this book was.. it has me teetering on weather to continue the series, seriously disappointed in direction writer took. A last effort wrap up the book? Or

Good!

Great story about Jericho's Happily Ever After. I don't think these last books of the series are really necessary, more for people looking for HEAs for every single character.

Unfortunately, I’m interested in the plot

Why is this unfortunate? Because there is so little of it! There is endless time moaning and moaning and agonizing and deliberating about relationships. I don’t mind that if it’s intelligent, but this is juvenile and cloying.

The female narrator is somewhat shrill and some of the time and sets me on edge when she is overwrought
or somewhat hysterical, which is relatively often.

Many unexpected twists

I won't spoil it by giving away the great plot twists in this book but I really enjoyed the story. Jericho starts out in the other books as the underdog and it's so nice to see him get his happy ending and with someone that seemingly comes out of nowhere. Very cute story.

You tore my image of Jericho apart

I can not stand his voice there is just something about him that annoyed the life out of me!!! If I would have paid attention and realized they were going to switch the narrators I dont think I would have started this series. I really enjoy these books but I almost couldn't make it through this one thank God for Bailey splitting it up.
