About this listen

One moment I'm the forgotten daughter of one of the most wealthy families in the country, and the next I'm the blushing bride in an arranged marriage. My fate is sealed in my wedded union with a complete stranger.

In public, Perry Constantine is the life of the party. Easygoing. Adored. In private, he's brooding. Dark. Angry. But so am I. It's a contest of wills to see who will break in the bedroom first, and while I try to remain strong, I find myself craving the very man I swore to hate.

My husband.

Contains mature themes.

Story drags a bit in the beginning. Also the female narrator read too slowly - It’s a good thing that you have speed up feature in the app.

Narrator for the male character is really good.

If we speak about the book it self, I hate the way it drags and no it does not feel like slowburn.... I hate the mother's to say the say least, the way they control and manipulate their daughter and son. One thing I love about the audio book is the main male character's (Apple Young) voice and performance. The female main character's (Erik Bloomquist) on the other hand.... oh my god I hate to say this and I am not the one to spread hate about anyone but this one time I genuinely can't help myself but say it... the fact that her sound is so so so ANNOYING and scratchy. She sounds like cinderella'd step sister for goodness sake !! but otherwise this book is pretty decent but definitely could have been better. Unfortunately I won't be able to tame my curiosity and will have to read the next books in the series...

its a mixed review

The female narrator’s voice is very irritating to listen and the story is very boring
