Narration Terrible

The narrator was so terrible and robotic that I decided to pick up the physical copy and read instead.

A must read

One's wealth management journey should start from this book only. What a wonderful book.
Everyone should read this to know what is money, how to manage it and after all how to live a happy life with what you have.
Language of the book is poetic. Loved it
At first I did not like the narrator and the narration style. But if you listen for a while you will love him.
He has made the book more poetic and charming.

Good listen

Economic development concepts from Babylonian era, some of them applies in 21st century,
brief learning of how trade was done during Babylonian era
Narration was robotic and unreal with lots of pronouncing mistakes

One of the best books i’ve ever cone across. Lessons for life.

This has to be one of the best books i’ve come across. The teaching in it and the stories particularly are what will stay with me for the rest of my life. I hope to re-read or listen in this case every month so i may practice these simple truths and remember what true humility is and the honor of the teachings of the stories.

Computers can read better!

The only appeal of an audiobook is the voice. If read by the correct person, any book comes alive. But not this book, sorry to say but the one in youtube read by a computer has better narration. Giving 5 for the story but haven't finished the book yet.

WTF?!

Great performance!! Quite possibly the best Stephen Hawking impression I've ever heard - this narrator has a gift!!

I had to stop the book after 6 seconds, it was completely unbearable...

Seriously, WTF?

Horrible to listen to.

I wish I would have listened to the sample preview. I would have never downloaded this version. It sounds like a robot reading text. No emotion or emphasis in the narrators performance. I’m zoning out while I listen because his voice is so bland.

Oh my... could not listen anymore

I'm sorry, but I had to buy another copy of this from a different narrator. At first I thought something was wrong with my app, or maybe it was a computer generated speech. The content is good, but I could not survive listening to the rest of the book this way.

This is the most boring version ever

The content of this book is awesome, the story teaches great things. The performance is TERRIBLE! While listening to this version, the voice actor does not differentiate between two different people talking, or whether it’s a new paragraph or topic or anything. It all sounds like a run on sentence and it’s monotone. I got lost all the time because of these things, could tell what was happening most of the time.

A good read but very complex

It takes a while to understand the old English words in the book but once you the reader adapt to the verbiage it’s a good read.

The voice is awful. It's a beautiful story, but read in a passionless manner. Couldn't/didn't finish.

Great book poor narrator

This book is soooo good but it sounds like it was read by a computer. No pauses, no voice inflection and where there is dialog between two characters, you can hardly tell where one begins and ends. I highly recommend this book….but do yourself a favor and choose one with a different narrator.

Good stories and lessons but horrible narration

The narrator sounds like a robot with weird intonation and just generally difficult to listen to.
He sounds like the guy reading his playscript in the purge episode of Rick and Morty.

Is the reader a Bot?

Do not buy without listening to a sample first!

I could not endure the flat pronunciation and complete neglect for punctuation for the reader. Not even at the end of a paragraph or chapter he would make a pause. I am questioning the reader is a bot, indeed.

I could not appreciate a single minute of this book, and I will ask for a refund right away so to try a different narrator.

An interesting story with sound financial advice

A selection of short stories from the perspective of people in Ancient Babylon.
Each with a financial lesson that is as relevant today as it was 5000 years ago.

For me, this particular audio book was a trial to listen to, as a combination of the language used (old English) and the speed of which the narrator speaks. This may just be me, but I thought I should mention it,

Fun stories, and great, basic financial advice for those seeking.

The only financial philosophy you need

The book is filled with gems, from chapter 4 onwards it really starts to show it's wisdom and timelessness. The ideas this book puts forward held true in Babylon and will hold true forever.

It's the simple, massively powerful philosophy's for finances that I have used since owning the book and will continue to use.

Only managed one chapter before turning it off.
