About this listen
Jen Flanders here. Just another starving artist in New York City. I walk dogs for money, practice yoga for sanity, and hit up my friends at a local bakery to supplement my diet. Unfortunately, rent is due and I'm running out of cash.
After begging the universe for a sign that help is on the way, my phone pings with a text.
GOD: You can do it; I believe in you!
Wait?! God is texting me?
I know it sounds crazy, but I'm so desperate, I'm willing to believe just about anything right now. So I ask him for help.
On the first day of texting, he gets me a job that will keep me afloat. On the second day, he hooks me up with a killer wardrobe. And on the third, he agrees to meet me at a pub to discuss my future.
Only it turns out God isn't a deity, but a divinely handsome lawyer named Gabriel Oliver Daily who thinks he's been helping out his friend's little sister. He's the man of my dreams, but it's never going to happen between us because I'm a whack-a-doodle who thinks she's been texting the Lord himself, and, I don't know how to explain that to him. Plus, he's got a serious girlfriend, and they're perfect for each other.
Although, I'm learning things aren't always as they appear...

This series is seriously squeezing my heart with all the feels and truly making me laugh, smile and giggle along with all our characters.
I'm seriously getting addicted to the Whiney Dineen and Melanie Summers brand of humor.
I can't believe I love this book more than the first one and the first one was smashing amazing.
I'd highly recommend listening to this book because it takes the theatrics and antics to just another level.
This second book, the way Alexander Cendese and Avery Reid have enacted the different voices for all the different characters, had me giggling and made me connect to the characters oh so much. Absolutely loved their narration.
You know what I'm absolutely loving all the more is the theme of mistaken identity and the ensuing confusion and madness that follows - that has me giggling like crazy.
There's again a case of mistaken identity but this time, our sweet and optimist girl, Jen really thinks that the text that she's received is really from THE GOD.
So what follows now is Jen asking and her prayers being answered now that she has a direct line to THE GOD.
The God is actually Gabriel aka Gabe aka Bryne who's a lawyer and even though he has a gf and a good career at a reputed firm, yet there's this contant feeling of things not being right.
Gabe might have started as a man who might be a strong one but yet it's clear he's denying what he really wants in life. But he's a good man in spite of it all.
Omg... This book had me in its grasp right from the start and I didn't want to stop listening to it. I have actually sneaked in every minute I could even while walking or Travelling, listening to this book as much as I could.
I don't know what our dear authors put in these books that make them so dayumm addictive, Unputdownable and the way it pulls out emotions out of you - giving you the time of your life, I just can't have enough of this series.
Even though this one has a slow burn kinda vibe, you don't feel it at all because you're so into everything that's happening.
I loved Jen and how she's such a sweet person. Even though it lands her in trouble many times, yet the way she trusts and believes in God, made me root for that girl.
I loved how we are made to crave something happening between Gabe and Jen. I'm not saying while he's with someone else, but after that when he's single, yet the sparks are flying so hard and I wanted to see them together so badly.
I loved the chemistry, the emotions, the way this book has made me feel, the way I couldn't stop smiling and giggling and everything that was happening... Ahhh... This one was such a freaking delight.
I have to say Gabe's parents are my top FAVORITES from this book. Their dynamic and the way they bicker and banter and Gabe's mom trying to play matchmaker, was so freaking hilarious.
But they are such amazing people that I wanted to hang out with them myself.
I can't believe I became so attached to the characters that when the story takes a certain turn, I had literal tears in my eyes. No worries this is a fun book so nothing bad happens, promise, but I felt like a member of their family.
I also have cried and smiled simultaneously during so many scenes and if a book can affect me that much, you know I'm buying it again - I need them physical copies, special editions - anything and everything I need them on my shelves because this is the type of book you refer to anyone without thinking twice of whether they'll like it or not, because you're so confident that they will love it.
Now onto the next book in this series. Ahh...I'm so freaking excited to dive into the third book. Absolutely loved freaking loved loved this one. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
My heart is so full right now... Smiling so hard😍
