Publisher's Summary

Indulge in a sexy stand-alone romance performed with duet narration from Andi Arndt and Joe Arden and with special appearances from Emma Wilder and Tony Award winner Santino Fontana!

It should be an easy rule to follow - don't bang your boss.... But I didn't know who he was when I met him. And the first time I saw him, our connection sounded like the stuff of romantic legends - that whole "their eyes locked across a crowded room" moment that turned into more.

I didn't believe it...until it happened to me. Fine, the charming, clever, sexy-as-sin guy in the tailored suit was only trying to buy the same Snoopy lunchbox (as a gift!), but still, our eyes totally locked, and my lady parts definitely tingled as we vied for the prize. Naturally, I did what any badass business woman would do. Negotiated for the lunchbox, then found my what-if guy online and made plans to see him the next night. One night only - that was the deal we made.

But one fantastic night had us both changing our minds in the morning. And making plans for another. Until I walked into the office to learn he just bought my company.

And here's the biggest rule of romantic legends - no matter what, don't bang your boss. Especially if you're already falling for him.

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

I gotta say this is one of the dirtier of Lauren Blakely's Rom Com's. It was still quirky, flirty and a bit silly like I expect from Lauren but the heat level was pretty high. I love a single parent romance so I knew Logan would be a favorite for me. The way he was with his daughter was so sweet. Bryn was a sexy and fun character but I loved most that she was so strong! She knew what she wanted and had no problem asking for it when it came to sex, relationships and career. I loved that she doesn't compromise or give up what she wants, she uses her situation to go after her dreams. I know I say this in every review I write for a Lauren Blakely book but man I love how very little drama is in these books. Joe Arden, Andi Arndt, Emma Wilder were all great as always but I gotta say I loved Santino Fontana. I love all the best narrators in the romance audiobook world but it is so refreshing when a new narrator pops up. I know he isn't "new" to Audio but he has only a few and none are romance that I have listened to.

My gushing over this book, could be a book

I'm in love, I'm in love with this book. Lauren Blakely has crafted a wonderfully seductive, real, humorous, and sizzling HOT story that you will not be able to stop listening to. Don't even try to stop. I love that it's not overly angsty, no weird "that couldn't happen" moments. Just two people who meet and their funny story. There are so many funny parts of this that had me laughing, giggling and smirking to myself, sock puppets, kids voices, Calvin & Hobbes, CATS!!!, Star Wars and wine references, Stanley Tucci arm candy references, just so much wit! Listening to this book will just make you happy. And then... and then there is the hot. Like holy f***ck hot. The scenes themselves are written with a bit of naughty in mind, but the delivery. Oh muh gawd, the delivery. I think Joe Arden's voice must have been sore by the end by how deep and gravely he growly he was. Your ears will thank you, your ears will love you. This is a book that was MADE for audio!! Joe Arden and Andi Arndt two of the very best - and they owned these characters. Santino Fontana and Emma Wilder as the Cats! I almost want a cat novella now. Special guest performance by Connor Crais as random internet voices - oh he's got a dreamy voice. There's plenty of extras - Cat epilogues, Fireside Chat with Andi & Joe, A Special chapter by Santino, BLOOPERS. And a sneak peak at Fitz' story from A Guy Walks Into My Bar. Buy this today! Thank you Lauren!

Outstanding narration!

The What If Guy is the second book in The Guys Who Got Away series by the talented Lauren Blakely. If you read Dear Sexy Ex Boyfriend, you might remember Logan, Summer's brother. This is his story! He's a single dad who pretty much works and spends time with his daughter. He doesn't date much, but when he meets Bryn when they both want the same retro lunch box, he wants her. They don’t exchange numbers, but use a new app to find each other. Dinner turns into one wild night in the bedroom and plans for more. But when they find out Logan's company just bought Bryn's, it's over. She can't date her boss. She's worked too hard to be that woman. But he's so sexy, sweet and thoughtful. And dominant and makes her body tingle. Bryn is the first woman who makes Logan want more. Crave more. She wants exactly what he does in the bedroom. How is going to let her go? Is it possible Logan isn't just the "What if Guy"? Can he be Bryn's Forever Guy? I love this story! I love that Logan wasn't going to let their circumstances stand in the way of him getting the woman he wants. I loved that they are both career driven but want to make it work between them. Logan is one of my favorite single dads! I was swooning all over the place! Overall, I laughed, teared up, got hot and bothered, and loved every word. Audio: Joe and Andi are fantastic as Logan and Bryn. Joe is one of my favorites and he keeps getting better and better. He's such a good actor, that he was just Logan to me. I felt everything he did just listening to his voice. He's so talented and great! I'm with him on the no cats thing, but I loved the cat chapters! Santino and Emma did such a great job voicing them! And of course Andi is always brilliant and she was the perfect Bryn with her commanding business tone and her boldness.

Relatable, Witty, & Swoon-Worthy!

First off, I have found Lauren Blakely's books, every single one, FANTASTIC! Secondly, how does this lady do it?! I cannot stop reading/listening, she has captured this reader and made a longtime fan! The way she ties each book together, even if it's just by the mentioning of a bar, it takes me back to the previous storyline or settings on what else played out there. Finding love after divorce can be tricky, especially when there are kids involved. I have witnessed this a time or two, where either party despises each other and their children suffer as a result, or in situations such as this where everyone is grown-up and mutual. Love isn't always dramatic; love is wild, searching, yearning, tempting, forgiving. Love is love, and love is everywhere. Awesome job from all narrators! Once again, Andi and Joe set the mood, the emotions, and give their readers exactly what they crave! Having 2 cats myself I thought the storyline of the cats adorably funny and cunningly sweet. Santino and Emma tell the cat-life just right! Always excited for the next one! Bring on 'A Guy Walks Into My Bar', I'm impatiently waiting!

Buy this book!

Ms. Lauren Blakely has done it again! I love how she writes her stories. It's relatable, not too much drama where it's unbelievable and you just feel the love between the 2 main characters. Logan and Bryn's meet-cute COULD happen IRL. I also love how LB connects her other books and tie them together and brings the other supporting characters into the story. Now let's talk about these amazing narrators! Andi Arndt and Joe Arden were terrific as Bryn and Logan. These 2 never disappoint! Then we have CATS, which add more comic relief and Emma Wilder and Santino Fontana were awesome (makes me kinda like cats...just kinda)! And let's not forget Connor Crais as the random internet users. He was such a nice surprise and I hope Lauren has him in more of her books. This man and his swoony voice! He has range for days and was great at separating each internet user with their own unique voice! I loved this book and would highly recommend it for everyone to purchase!

What if Logan was mine!

Where do I begin? This is the second book in The Guys Who Got Away series. In this story, we meet Logan, Summer’s brother. He’s the CEO of a media corporation, divorced, single dad, with an adorable daughter. And Bryn, Boss Lady extraordinaire, manages a lifestyle blog/website. They meet by chance, both reaching for the same item in a shop. The chemistry is immediate, and there’s this pull that neither can explain, but want to explore. When Logan and Bryn are together, everything around them seems to disappear. It’s like they’ve been waiting for each other; like this was the time for them to meet; not before because it just wouldn’t have been the same. They come into their relationship with knowledge and wisdom from their pasts. They were made for each other. Logan and Bryn’s cats, Bruce and Queen LaTofu were amazing! Santino Fontana and Emma Wilder bring these superior felines to life. I want them to have their own story. Since they’re friends, of course Logan’s friends attorney Oliver, and Fitz, our current hockey playing crush makes an appearance. Yes, we’re all waiting for his story coming up next month. I love, love, love this story of love, loss, taking chances with your heart, and creating new adventures. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt make a great narrating team. They both give you all the feels, and Andi’s capturing of the girl power is infectious. And Joe. Well he gives great dirty talk, and is quite commanding. This audiobook was amazing, and I know I’l be listening to it again. And be sure to keep listening for the extras after the epilogue!

Love, love, love!

I’m not really a cat person but Lauren Blakely nailed it with this adorable story and cat POV’s! Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are a favorite power couple and they brought all the feels and swoons with Logan and Brynn. Emma Wilder as Queen Latofu and Santino Fontana as Bruce perfectly captured the aloof and indignant attitudes of their cats. And Connor Crais was a sweet treat as the voices of the Internet. Lauren knows just what we need and love in a sweet and steamy rom com. Brilliant!

Cats rule

What a fun book that is full of funny and hot sexy moments that will have you laughing one moment and swooning the next. Bryn and Logan meet in a fantastic way and the sparks are there but neither pursue those sparks. When they have time to think about it later, and discuss it with their friends, they decide to use an app to find each other. Bryn is sexy and funny and very confident in herself. She knows what she want and has no problem voicing those wants in the bedroom or wherever they happen to be. She is also a cat mom to Bruce. Logan is hot and sweet and sexy and a great dad both to a sweet little girl and also a spoiled cat named Queen LaTofu. One more thing, Logan turns out to be Bryn's new boss. This is so much fun and the heat is smoking hot. You get it all with this book and a bonus of a cats life from Bruce and Queen T's perspective courtesy of Santino Fontana and Emma Wilder. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are two of my favorite narrators and they were great in this book. Perfection. I loved this book and highly recommend it. This author never disappoints me, she always delivers an entertaining and sexy story that keeps my interest and gives me all the feels.

Joe & Andi bring this hot tasty rom com to life!!

I absolutely love Lauren Blakely audio books! I have a copy of this book to read as an ARC for the release of the Kindle edition but the Audible released earlier and was in Audible Escape so I decided to listen to it while I worked. This book features Logan (twin to Summer from Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend, the first book in The Guys Who Got Away series) a sexy single Dad C.E.O. who is searching for the perfect Snoopy gift for his daughter's upcoming birthday. He finds it. But he isn't the only one looking at the vintage Snoopy lunchbox in a second hand shop. He and Bryn 'meet cute' over a mutual grab for the same lunchbox. Him for his daughter and her to add to her vintage kitsch collection in memory of her late mother. Bryn, a lifestyle site/blog content manager, finds herself trying the advice from her dating site, and there is definite chemistry between the two of them (and luckily, a second lunchbox so neither has to go away unhappy) but there is no exchange of information between these two. Both of them regret this, and on recommendation from others, each put a listing up on a missed connection app and reconnect...with sizzling results. Unfortunately for both of them, the day after their hot and steamy night, they discover he is her new boss after he purchased the company she works for. Don't worry, they figure things out. We also get to meet their cats, Bruce and Queen LaTofu (voiced by Santino Fontana and Emma Wilder to hilarious effect). His adorable, precocious daughter Amelia. We get more time with his sister Summer and friend (and Summer's man) Oliver, as well as Fitz, whose book is coming next. There are other Easter eggs in this, as with all the books in Lauren's Bookiverse...such as a mention of our favorite Heartbreakers or Joy Delivered!! Loved this rom com!! It's hot and steamy as well as sweet and charming. *fans self* Really hot and steamy!! And in audio is absolutely awesome!! Love Andi Arndt and Joe Arden's performance! Andi is always great and Joe is hot hot hot voicing the delicous Logan. Plus we get bonuses such as bloopers, a chat with Joe & Andi, as well as a cat epilogue, and a sneak peek of Fitz's story.

Buying a lunchbox has never been so much fun!

Joe Arden, Andi Arndt, Santino Fontana and Emma Wilder narrated this audiobook out of the park!!!! I'm still grinning to myself thinking about this lovely story, it has a little bit of a Sliding Doors movie feel to it, but obviously this wouldn't be a love story if the 2 MC's never met would it? A perfect story that won't just last you one night, it will be with you forever!

Sexy, flirty, and swoony

Single dad stories are my kryptonite. So I knew this book was going to be a must listen and it was everything I could have hoped for right now. Logan is such a swoonfest, he’s charming and sexy—hello suit and tats—he’s funny, and is an attentive father. Oh, did I forget to mention the dirty talk? My bad. Because he is so good at it. What's not to like? Bryn is the type of woman you want to be your friend. She's funny and sweet. I loved that she not only respected Logan’s relationship with his daughter but cherished it. Logan and Bryn’s first meeting is one for the record books, I just loved the serendipitous of it. Their chemistry was palpable from the get-go, and I was so pleased they found each other again. Their first night turned that heat factor up to ten! And it never really came down, they were explosive together. But more than that, I loved how they connected on a personal level, talked and understood each other's vulnerabilities. Their banter was spot on, and as you know, I love me some good banter. In typical Lauren fashion, she hooks the reader/ listener from early on with addictive storytelling, swoony romance, and witty banter. Lauren knows how to keep those pages turning or in my case, keep me listening well into the early hours of the morning. This book is steamy and has low angst, which I loved. It's funny and charming. It is the type of feelgood storytelling that we need in the world right now. It's definitely going on my summer must listens list. Let me be really real with you. When I heard this book had cats in it...as characters with their own chapters, I had a WTF moment. Then I heard the chapters, and they were fantastic and really added to the story. The difference between Bruce and Queen LaTofu and how they viewed their catdom was hilarious. It just goes to show that our gut reaction isn't always right, sometimes we have to experience something new and different to find out how much fun it is. And the cat chapters were complete fun. I will never look at my own cat the same way again. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were fantastic. The story is performed in duet, everyone knows I’m a huge fan of duet narration and this one doesn't disappoint. The cats, Brue and Queen LaTofu are performed by Santino Fontana and Emma Wilder and it worked so perfectly. Newcomer, Connor Crais makes a cameo - I'll leave you to discover where, but it gives you a good peek at his range, and I'll tell you, this girl is ready for more! Joe was just brilliant as the dirty talking, Logan. His little girl voice is sweet and didn't feel like overkill, and his dad scenes were just enough to make a person melt. Then he hit me with a ’sweetheart’ and my swoon meter broke. I don't think there could have been anyone better for this character. I might have had a tiny little issue with one of the voice, but I believe that to be a personal taste thing. His voice complemented Andi’s perfectly. Andi is the feisty lady boss, Bryn, who she narrates with such a beautiful balance of sass and vulnerability that it was a joy to listen to. The production was flawless. You get a few bonus features with this baby. Bloopers. A sneak peek of A Guy Walks Into A Bar, Lauren’s first MM book coming next month, which is performed by Joe Arden and Shane East. A fireside chat between Joe & Andi. Plus, chapter 14 performed in dual narration by Santino Fontana.

A rom com with cattitude

This is a rom-com but with a lot of heat! A sexy single dad and a sexy single woman about town! A chance meeting and a HOT date and let the festivities commence. I had the fan out from when i was blushing and laughing so much. I find with Lauren Blakely that she hand picks her narrators to bring out the best in her characters. THIS is no different, Andi and Joe were perfect in their roles as Bryn and Logan, throw in Santino Fontana & Emma Wilder who practically purred her way through her chapters and you have a hit!

All hail the fall of the cat resistance

What a heartwarming, sweet, sexy and completely feel good rom com. It’s definitely got the five key components to not only a forever relationship, but to the perfect romance novel. Trust, honesty, laughter and great sex, oh, and don’t forget love. Add in those pussy cats Queen LaTofu and Bruce, and you can’t help but have a little smile on your face as you read. A wonderful story, nothing new, they meet, they indulge in a passionate night, and then bam, they find out he’s going to be her new boss. Of course there’s much more to it than that, and of course Lauren Blakeley puts her own spin on it, in the best possible way. I love how her books all intermingle, all my favourite previous book boyfriends and their loves popping up in and amongst, it makes me feel connected to the characters more. I could not get enough of Bryn and Logan, I swear there wasn’t a mean bone in either of their bodies. They were truly adorable, witty, I loved them and their group of friends. The cats also get their own epilogues, priceless. A truly addictive read. The audio version is a dream, as always Lauren Blakeley has the best narrators, as well as Joe Arden and Andi Arndt narrating Logan and Bryn in duet, we also have the cats getting their own narrators, Emma Wilder and Santino Fontana. Add in at the end a preview of a A Guy Walks into my Bar, a fireside chat with Joe Arden and Andi Arndt, and a blooper real, and I’d say it was the perfect end to this perfect audio.

Loved this story of what was meant to be. Chance made them meet, then fate took them apart, then determination brought them together again, then circumstances split them again till choices brought them back together forever. Loved it. Narration was awesome too.

The What If Guy

This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
