Publisher's Summary

The Wisdom of Teams is the definitive work on how to create high-performance teams in any organization. Having sold nearly a half million copies and been translated into more than 15 languages, the authors' clarion call that teams should be the basic unit of organization for most businesses has permanently shaped the way companies reach the highest levels of performance.

Wisdom lies in recognizing a team's unique potential to deliver results and in understanding its many benefits - development of individual members, team accomplishments, and stronger companywide performance. Katzenbach and Smith's comprehensive classic is the essential guide to unlocking the potential of teams in your organization.

Returning. Good if you have insomnia.

I adore a good business book and have been known to get completely revved up listening to books that others find less scintillating. This one was rough ... I gave it two hours and am returning. Very poor narration style (very overdone narration - like listening to a 10-hour commercial voice-over) and in the first two hours of listening, the big nugget of wisdom that was passed along is that teams do better when they have a common performance goal.

Great Book for leaders in big organizations

I liked the book and learned a lot from it, it works ideally with big companies better than small companies.

But still, it, good to know how teams work

I did not like the story and delivery of the book

T I am ex management consultant and see the language is difficult with depressing voice behind. Word performance repeated in every other sentence. Very hard for consumption..
