Publisher's Summary

A fresh, irresistible rom-com from debut author Emma Lord about the chances we take, the paths life can lead us on, and how love can be found in the opposite place you expected.

Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming - mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burger’s massive Twitter account.

Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Pepper’s side. When he isn’t trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twin’s shadow, he’s busy working in his family’s deli. His relationship with the business that holds his future might be love/hate, but when Big League Burger steals his grandma’s iconic grilled cheese recipe, he’ll do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time.

All’s fair in love and cheese - that is, until Pepper and Jack’s spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while they’re publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, they’re also falling for each other in real life - on an anonymous chat app Jack built.

As their relationship deepens and their online shenanigans escalate - people on the internet are shipping them? - their battle gets more and more personal, until even these two rivals can’t ignore they were destined for the most unexpected, awkward, all-the-feels romance that neither of them expected.

Praise for Tweet Cute:

Tweet Cute

I saw this book at my local bookstore the cover caught my eye. But I figured I wouldn’t get the chance to read it so I checked to see if it made in to an audiobook. Yay it was.

I really enjoyed the narrators they brought these characters to life. I loved the way they read the book it made me feel the connection to each character.

Pepper and Jack are driven high school students who have that snark and I love. Their high school experience is very different from mine. I enjoyed the parallel to Gossip Girl a little it a fun and easy listen.

I really liked how all the characters fit and gave us a whole picture. It really made the story feel whole.

I will be looking for more from this author.

Pretty much what you'd expect

I started out quite liking this book, but I guess the continued levels of saccharine blandness didn't really do it for me. There could have been way more tension between the characters, because most of the book, especially the second half, just felt like an expository waste of time - like the author didn't really know how to resolve the story, so she brought it to a very slow, boring halt. It's a shame because the cute premise was a lot of fun, and at the start I liked the tension between Jack and what's her name, but they both ended up being really boring, and so did their interactions. I listened to the last few chapters on 2 times speed.

Cute, fluffy story if you could use a light read

This book is a fun little escape if you're looking for something easy and charming. It's almost an overdose of cute -- cute animal usernames online, cute dessert mashups, cute nicknames, cute people learning cute lessons. It's light and funny, and would be good if you're looking to escape into a silly story for a few hours. In terms of balance, I found it to be heavy on teen drama and high school, and light on the "rom" part of "rom-com." Overall, if you're looking for a classic enemies-fall-in-love story that you can swoon over, this isn't it. This is more about teens with a mutual crush dealing with weird parenting (cartoonishly bad, in some cases), social media (sooo much talk about memes), and the expectations of their expensive, elite high school. Fun banter and great narration kept me listening.

A nice book

I think this book was easy to read.
And it had a great story.
But I felt that there weren't a lot of romance.
Overall, I think it was an okay read.

cute!!!

Tweet cute is exactly that, cute! What a fun and exciting story to depict teenagers in today's world. I love the story line and the humor. The writing was infectious and kept me hooked to the story with a few minor plot twists. It was a fun loving story that I would recommend. Perfect YA book!!!

The most delicious go-to YA audio!

I gre up on Nancy Drew and have never outgrown YA titles, but this one tops all and. I’ve given it so many re-listens I’m afraid it will somehow disappear from my Audible library for having over-done it! It’s so utterly cut and I love, love, love it, and cannot wait for “You’ve Got A Match” to to drop - I have it on pre-order, but Just. Cannot. Wait!

I know I should be queening up Richard Armitage, but I’m soooo tempted go back to this one for another listen. I’m not an “outdoor girl” so I do hope “You’ve Got A Match” isn't a disappointment, but Tweet Cute is so darn cute I can’t imagine it will be.

I bought title on my own and no one asked me for a review. Sure it’s old news now, but I do love it!

Cute, fun, and insightful at times.

This was such a cute story, I enjoyed reading about each character and getting to know their personalities and listening to how they ended up together, ended up friends. Of course there are misunderstandings along the way. There was your normal high school things happening but I really liked how the story looked deeper into Jack and Pepper’s feelings about their place in each of their families and about their future. For the longest time I did not like Pepper’s mom but then towards the end when we knew more about the story I understood her more. I still can’t believe what Jack’s father did and that he didn’t change it. I did love the ending, things were figured out and resolved. I loved the epilogue, it was just perfect.

Enjoyable, fun, sweet and awesome read all around

A fun, uplifting story that made me laugh out loud and care for the characters. I actually couldn't stop listening at some point so I insisted on reading even when I knew I had to go to sleep and fell asleep while it was still running.
It was a great time reading this book and I'm happy I have been doing so.
Recomended :)

Funny, cute

Pepper and Jack, enemies to friends, um can I just say I love this? And then theres the mysterious weasel app that comes into play as well throughout the book. I loved the mystery of it too. I practically held my breath waiting for them to find out about each other. The way Pepper found out that Jack was wolf, well that sucked, I would have rather him tell her himself. But I guess she was probably going to be mad either way. This was a good audio book, I enjoyed all of the banter and flirting.

A very cute book

This is overall a really cute audiobook. Pepper and Jack are really adorable. It might make you hungry when listening; especially as there is lots of mentioning of deserts. I would highly recommend.

Unexpected

This kept popping up in my recommended books but it was a YA so I dismissed it really quickly. However, call it over exposure or possibly just a want for it to shop being suggested to me, I downloaded it and BOY was I glad I did.
Never did this feel too teen for me. It was incredibly well written, had more rising action than I’ve possibly read in a book and was incredibly dynamic, unpredictable and just outright engaging. It’s light, it’s funny, it has more curveballs than expected and the end result came about in an unexpected way.
Highly recommend.
Narrators were on point.

So sweet

The story was easy to listen to and very sweet! It had me cringing and shouting for the story to go a particular way and kept me engaged throughout. I wish the performers had more mature voices but they did a great job at playing all the characters. Parts of the story took a little too long to develop but the storyline was awesome!
