Ruined by the narrator’s incessant giggling

The narrator constantly bursts into this odd and unbearable cackling or chuckling. Even in the middle of a word that is in no way funny, or part of any “joke,” he will include the odd cackling. I cannot fathom how this was allowed by any editor. I would recommend pulling this title and re-recording, ideally with a new narrator or at least without the interruption of the chucking every 2-7 words.
The actual content is great. The narrator’s cackling is insufferable. Do not waste your time, just buy the actual book. This is absolutely unlistenable. Wish Sisson had narrated it. He has a much better voice, and I don’t believe he is afflicted by this odd giggling compulsion that the plagues the narrator.

Don't waste your time.

This is definitely a pass. The narration about killed me. I was so "over" the narrator's fake laughter throughout. I felt I was being talked down to the whole time. Hung in there hoping for worthwhile content but truly a let down. There are better options to ignite your interest and inspiration.

Poor choice of narration style

No need to fake laugh every 5 seconds, otherwise the informations are solid and eye opener.

Needs a new narrator

The content is solid. The narrators fun little zings and silly words are annoying as hell, it really takes away from good content

Excellent info!

I will be purchasing this book in a physical copy!
While Brad is a very enthusiastic narrator, I found certain times of his “laughing” to come across as uncertain and uncomfortable.

Where's Sisson?

I would greatly prefer hearing Mark tell his own story rather than this guy. The narrator sounds like a 40 year old man trying to sound cool in front of teenage boys.

However and most importantly, content is excellent. Thought at times I question the scientific accuracy when quoting documentaries as sources.

Narrator’s laughing is truly annoying...

Great content, but it needs a different narrator, this one can’t stop laughing all the time in the most weird way and situations...

The narrator is insufferable. I cant get passed it

I used to listen to and really enjoyed the Marks daily apple podcast so I was basically sold on the first book (The Primal Blueprint)as soon as I heard about it. Downloaded it here and the narrator was so bad I couldn't bring myself to listen through it. So much scripted laughter and patting himself on the back for his own jokes and just generally annoying tonal voice shifting. Then this book comes out. "Yeah, I'll get that! I'm already doing 14 hour fasts, this might be.. NO. SHIT. ITS THE SAME NARRATOR. DAMNIT. I CANT."

There may be lots of great content in the book, but I just cant get passed this guys awful voice acting. Maybe ill actually read it like some kind of egg head.

Terrible Narration

The reader's voice is incredibly irritating can't stand the fake forced laughter he constantly adds.

Narrator is an a**hole

I am trying to take this book seriously, while listening to a narrator that is arrogant, has emotional fluctuations every minute and reads it like there's a group of infants listening to his story. What an a**hole. Why does he giggle so often???

More than just a book on dieting

found this book very interesting, like the way it incorporates a lot of studies and diets and combined with athletic knowledge and experience produced a good lifestyle book to try and adopt.

Informative and helpful but reader irritating.

Interesting in this subject and like the author. Very helpful and useful information re diets and habits etc
But MY GOD is the reader irritating. Perfectly fine for most of the book but the little exaggerated words every 15 minutes are unnecessary.
