About this listen

FROM THE #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB

A brand new series.

An iconic new detective duo.

And a thrilling new murder to solve . . .

Steve Wheeler is enjoying retired life. He does the odd bit of investigation work, but he prefers his familiar habits and routines: the pub quiz, his favourite bench, his cat waiting for him when he comes home. His days of adventure are over: adrenaline is daughter-in-law Amy’s business now.

Amy Wheeler thinks adrenaline is good for the soul. As a private security officer, she doesn’t stay still long enough for habits or routines. She’s currently on a remote island keeping world-famous author Rosie D’Antonio alive. Which was meant to be an easy job . . .

Then a dead body, a bag of money and a killer with their sights on Amy have her sending an SOS to the only person she trusts. A breakneck race around the world begins, but can Amy and Steve stay one step ahead of a deadly enemy?

'The thing that shines through in Osman’s writing is that he really likes people and revels in all their foibles and eccentricities. All of which makes for a delightful read – and another little slice of warmth in time for autumn' THE OBSERVER

'This is a sitcom-meets-Bond, and a fine murder mystery’ DAILY EXPRESS

'Much as with the earlier books, I read We Solve Murders in a few pleasured gulps' SUNDAY TIMES

I found the story entertaining, a cozy mystery with quirky personalities that make for good humor.

Loved the performance, each person’s character came out differently.

I felt there were a LOT of colorful characters in the play, but very few stay back in the memory. Parts of the story line seemed to indulge impossibilities that we witness in action movies, so it is more of a mystery/ action story. The reader/ listener is kept on the edge and there is a lot of humor thrown in which was really nice! Overall it was lovely to catch-up to a latest sensation in modern fiction.

Interesting story and colorful characters

While the novel itself is pretty awesome, I liked this story even more thanks to brilliant narration by Nicola Walker.

Excellent story and even better narration
