  • Reflecting on 5 Years in EMS and the Future
    Jan 1 2026

    Happy New Year, Folks

To start the new year, I reflect on the past 5 years of my EMS career and on what I plan to do in the future in this field and in medical education.

Of course, I delve into some stories on the road and look back on moments with my previous partners and how my community very much helped shape who I am today and how I am approaching my future.

Start off your year strong with a quick new episode from me!

Today I'm interviewing Morgan Wilson. She's an AEMT and currently in paramedic school, helping teach as well. Of course, we talk about our field and how she approaches the job, her incredible positivity, and her popular TikTok page, @MorganHWilson.

"Give yourself a little bit of extra rest." Is some sage wisdom she drops that I don't think enough of us take, along with eating. Of course, you aren't you when you're hungry.

Sit back and listen along to this laugh-filled episode!

  • Thoughts on Code 3 and PTSD | with Alexis Stout
    Nov 15 2025

Hey folks, here's a quick episode for your ears this weekend!

First off, in the pod, I HAVE to share a quick story about a call I got. All we were told was that it was a guy "who ripped out his trachea."

I finally watched Code 3, the new Paramedic movie with Rainn Wilson, and I found it to be incredibly relatable. Listen for my full thoughts there.

Of course, I chat more about the calls I've been on, including the fun stuff and the tougher stuff, such as working with pediatric patients and dealing with the emotions that follow those calls. How do you deal with traumatic calls?

As always, sit back, let's have fun and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
