• Episode 34 - Intentionally choosing the tone for 2026
    Jan 23 2026

    Summary

In this episode of Becoming No Ordinary Woman, Joanna discusses the importance of approaching the new year with intention rather than self-judgment. She emphasises the significance of identity over goals, introducing the concept of a 'word of the year' as an anchor for personal growth. Joanna encourages listeners to focus on creating meaningful memories instead of merely achieving milestones and to consciously choose between a default path and a soul-led path. The episode concludes with a call to commit to an extraordinary year through intentional choices.

    Takeaways

    • This year is not over. You have not failed.
    • Extraordinary years are chosen, not stumbled into.
    • Your word is an identity anchor.
    • Memory-led years change who you are.
    • What memories do you want to create this year?
    • Choosing the soul-led path doesn't mean life becomes easy.
    • What you don't change, you choose.
    • The friction you feel this year doesn't mean you're on the wrong path.
    • This does not have to be just another year.
    • Let's choose extraordinary together

    Strategy - The Three Tools:

1 - Choose a word of the year that serves as your context for 2026

2 - Create a year of memories - Make a list of the things you would love to intentionally experience this year

3 - Choose your path - The default path or The Soul Path

    Soul - Journal Prompts:

    • What tone are you choosing to live from this year?
    • What word feels like an identity shift for you?
    • What intentional memories do you want to create — and why do they matter?
    • Which path are you consciously stepping onto?
    • What are you no longer willing to carry into this year?

Universal Guidance - 5 of Wands

    This card is often misunderstood.

    It’s not about chaos.
It’s not about things going wrong.

    It’s about friction during growth.

The Five of Wands appears when:

    • Old identities and new identities are co-existing
    • Different desires are alive inside you
    • The familiar self and the emerging self are negotiating space

When you choose a new path, harmony doesn’t arrive first.Dialogue does. Tension does. Questions do.

    And that is not failure.

    That is initiation.

The friction you feel this year doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path.
It means something new is forming.

An invitation - Are you ready to experience The Shift

The Shift is a 90-minute private mentoring session where we slow everything down, get radically honest, and create clarity around what needs to change — so you can move forward with intention rather than momentum.

It’s for the woman who knows she can’t walk the same path this year and doesn’t want to wait until December to realise that nothing changed.

  • Episode 33 - How to close the chapter before you write the next one : The powerful step most women skip each January
    Jan 16 2026
SummaryIn this episode of "Becoming No Ordinary Woman," Joanna emphasises the importance of reflecting on the past year before diving into new resolutions. She highlights that a staggering 88% of New Year's resolutions are often abandoned by mid-January, largely due to the rush to set goals without properly closing out the previous year. Joanna advocates for a more intentional approach, suggesting that the winter season is a time for rest, integration, and reflection rather than forcing growth. She shares her personal journey through a challenging year, illustrating how taking the time to pause and reflect can lead to meaningful insights and a clearer path forward.Joanna introduces practical strategies for closing out the year with intention, focusing on honest reflection and conscious release. She outlines four key areas to explore: identifying peak moments, learning from challenges, recognising personal growth, and understanding the mindset that dominated the year. By engaging in this reflective process, listeners can gain clarity and set themselves up for a more fulfilling year ahead, embracing their personal power and narrative.Strategy1. Review your peak moments in 2025 and look for commonalitiesWhat was common about these moments?Who were you with?Which of your values were being activated?2. Review what didn’t go so well — what did it teach you?3 Review your personal growth:What mindset dominated your year? What emotions did you most frequently experience? What energy did you lead with, masculine or feminine? What actions did you take towards your big goals/ dreams?4 What identity did you embody and how did this serve you? Decision points: What are you leaving behind because it no longer serves me? What are taking with you into 2026 to make it your most fully lived year yet? What if you wrote the 2026 version of you a letter, what would yousay? SOUL — Journaling for Compassionate CompletionWhat are you proud of yourself for surviving last year? What did you give your energy to that you no longer want to carry forward? What part of you is tired — and what does she need now? What truth became clear only through lived experience? If last year was a chapter title, what would it be — and what title feels true for the chapter ahead?UNIVERSAL WISDOM — The StarThe Star always appears after upheaval. After endings. After something has fallen away.It is not a card of urgency or striving. It doesn’t ask you to prove anything. It is a card of restoration.Of healing.Of renewed trust. The Star reminds us that hope doesn’t come from pushing forward. It comes from laying things down. From honesty. From gentleness. From allowing yourself to begin again without dragging the past behind you. This is the energy of conscious completion. You don’t need to rush the next chapter. You need to trust that something new can emerge when you stop carrying what’s complete. Are YOU ready to experience The Shift? The Shift is a 90-minute private mentoring session where we slow everything down, get radically honest, and create clarity around what needs to change — so you can move forward with intention rather than momentum. It’s for the woman who knows she can’t walk the same path this year and doesn’t want to wait until December to realise that nothing changed. You can book your session HERE🙌🏼 Loved this episode? If this resonated with you, I would be so grateful if you could:✨ Follow or subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode✨ Rate and review — it helps more women find this space✨ Share this episode with a friend who’s on the edge of something extraordinary🌐 Connect with MeLet’s keep this conversation going!📸 Instagram: @becomingnoordinarywoman🌍 Website: www.joannapetrierout.com💌 Email: support@joannapetrierout.com

  • Episode 32 - My January Rituals: The four tools I use to create an extraordinary year
    Jan 9 2026

In this episode, Joanna shares how she intentionally enters a new year rather than rushing into it, and why January is a powerful threshold for choosing the same path or the soul path. She introduces the four rituals she uses each January to create an extraordinary year — including her word for the year, reflective review, designing a year of memories, and vision boarding — alongside powerful journal prompts to uncover true desires and universal guidance from the Strength tarot card. This episode is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and consciously choose your No Ordinary Woman era.

    The Rituals:

1 Chose a word for the year to create a powerful context to help lead yourself forward

2 Review the year that has just passed - what were your lessons? What were your strengths? What were you most grateful for?

3 Create memories - what memories do you want o look back on when you reach the end of the year. Be intentional about the memories you wish to create.

4 Create a vision board - vision board are powerful tools, they are not just magic. In a later episode this month we will explore the science behind creating a powerful vision board

SOUL - some journal prompts for you:

    1. If no one else’s expectations mattered this year, what would I secretly want more of?
    2. Where in my life do I feel most alive — and where do I feel most constrained? What is that showing me?
    3. What desire keeps returning, even when I try to ignore it?
    4. If I trusted myself completely, what would I choose next?
    5. What kind of woman do I want to be at the end of this year — not what do I want to achieve, but who do I want to embody?

A bonus one…If you were to fully embrace your No Ordinary Woman Era, what would that unleash for you?

    Universal Guidance - Strength

As always, I pulled a tarot card to support this episode — and I pulled the Major Arcana card Strength.

And I love this so much for January.

Because Strength is not about force.
    It’s not about pushing.
    It’s not about proving anything.

    Strength is quiet confidence.
    Inner steadiness.
The courage to lead yourself with compassion rather than control.

This card reminds us that the most powerful kind of strength comes from trust:

    Trust in yourself.
    Trust in your instincts.
Trust in your ability to meet whatever this year brings.

    Strength asks us:
Where can you soften instead of harden?
Where can you choose self-trust over self-doubt?

This year doesn’t require you to become tougher.

It asks you to become truer.

Is it your turn to experience The Shift?

The Shift is a 90-minute private mentoring session where we slow everything down, get radically honest, and create clarity around what needs to change — so you can move forward with intention rather than momentum.

  • Episode 31 - 5 Powerful Questions To Supercharge Your Year
    Jan 2 2026

    Happy New Year!

This is the final in the Festive mini series designed to help you close out 2025 and step powerfully into 2026.

I share 5 questions to help you step into the identity you want to embody this year. Grab your journal and have fun exploring these questions...

QUESTION 1 — “Who do I refuse to be anymore?”

QUESTION 2 — “What desire have I been too afraid to admit?”

QUESTION 3 — “What emotional state will I no longer negotiate with?”

QUESTION 4 — “What identity do I need to embody to hold the life I want?”

QUESTION 5 — “What becomes possible when I lead myself?”

UNIVERSAL GUIDANCE — Ten of Wands

The card that came through for this episode is the Ten of Wands, and its timing couldn’t be more aligned with the beginning of a new year. This card is a mirror — showing us the weight we’ve normalised, the responsibilities we’ve absorbed, and the invisible emotional loads we’ve been carrying out of habit, not necessity. The Ten of Wands arrives when a woman has taken on so much that she can no longer see the path ahead clearly. And its message for you is simple but liberating: You were never meant to carry it all. This is the year where you stop dragging old expectations, outdated identities, and inherited pressures into your future. The questions you’re reflecting on today aren’t just about vision — they’re about release. They’re about choosing what is yours to hold, and gently setting down everything that blocks your capacity to rise. The Ten of Wands invites you into a new level of self-leadership — one where you lead from clarity, not overwhelm; from intention, not obligation. Your next chapter requires space. Let this be the moment you create it.

  • Episode 30 - Stepping into Your Next Level - An End of Year Transition Visualisation
    Dec 26 2025

I hope you love this special episode to close the year out.

The tarot card I pulled for this Threshold Ceremony is Temperance, and its message could not be more aligned with what this episode holds. Temperance is the energy of integration — the gentle blending of who you were with who you are becoming. It’s the reminder that transformation isn’t abrupt or forceful; it’s a sacred alchemy. This card invites you to honour the middle space, the in-between, the moment where the old self has dissolved but the new self is still forming. Temperance whispers: “There is no rush. Your becoming unfolds in perfect timing.” As you move through this guided visualisation, allow the energy of Temperance to hold you — balancing what you’re releasing with what you’re ready to receive, helping you step through the doorway of your next chapter with softness, harmony, and inner peace.

  • Episode 28 You Don't Need Resolutions - You Need Rest
    Dec 12 2025

    SHOW NOTES

    The Story

In this episode of Becoming No Ordinary Woman, Joanna reflects on her journey over the past year, sharing her disdain for New Year's resolutions and advocating for a more compassionate approach to personal growth. She emphasises the importance of rest, recovery, and setting intentions rather than rigid goals. Joanna discusses how societal pressures can lead to burnout and encourages listeners to embrace their natural rhythms, especially during the winter months. By focusing on intentions and feelings, rather than strict outcomes, she believes individuals can create a more fulfilling and authentic life. The episode concludes with practical strategies for setting intentions and a reminder to be kind to oneself during the transition into the new year.

    Takeaways

    • Joanna won an award for her podcast, highlighting its success.
    • She dislikes New Year's resolutions, advocating for rest instead.
    • Resolutions often stem from a belief that something is wrong with us.
    • The nervous system needs safety, not pressure, for transformation.
    • High-achieving women often feel exhausted due to societal pressures.
    • Intentions provide freedom and direction without rigidity.
    • Rest is essential for clarity and decision-making.
    • Setting intentions can lead to more fulfilling outcomes.
    • Transformation is a steady process, not a dramatic overhaul.
    • Self-kindness is crucial during the transition into a new year.

    The Strategy

YOUR strategy is simple: Rest → Feel → Intend → Trust → Act

    Not hustle.
    Not reinvention.
    Not pressure.
    Not punishment.

This is how you build a year you don’t need to recover from.

    The Soul - Journal prompts

    1. Where in my life am I craving rest before I choose a direction?

    2. What intentions feel spacious and energising — rather than rigid or demanding?

    3. Which feelings do I want to lead me next year?

    4. What becomes possible when I stop forcing outcomes and start trusting myself?

    5. What evidence do I already have that intentions work for me?

(Let your year speak back to you.)

    Universal Guidance

The 8 of Pentacles arrives as your reminder that transformation is devotional, not dramatic.

This card is the energy of:

    • steady becoming
    • gentle mastery
    • craft over chaos
    • intention over pressure

It shows the woman who gets where she’s going
    not through force…
    but through presence.

    The 8 of Pentacles whispers:

“You don’t need to reinvent yourself for January.
You just need to stay with yourself long enough to become who you already are.

  • Episode 27 2025 is the year that changed you - even if it didn't feel like progress

The StoryIn this episode, Joanna reflects on the emotional journey of the past year, emphasising the importance of recognising internal growth even when external progress seems minimal. She shares personal experiences and insights gained throughout the year, highlighting the significance of quiet evolution and transformation. Joanna provides practical steps for listeners to evaluate their year, recognizs invisible wins, and prepare for the upcoming year with intention and clarity.TakeawaysDecember brings a mix of emotions: relief, fatigue, gratitude.Quiet years often lead to significant internal changes.Transformation is about feeling friction between old and new identities.Recognising invisible wins is crucial for personal growth.Your nervous system plays a key role in change and clarity.Preparation is more important than achievement in personal growth.Choosing one thing to let go of can break patterns effectively.Micro embodiments can create lasting change.Ending the year with intention sets the stage for the next.Strategy1. Do a Nervous System Debrief (5 minutes)Most women only evaluate the outcomes of their year.Very few evaluate the state they lived the year from.2 Identify Your “Invisible Wins” (Identity-Based Progress)Your brain is wired to track what didn’t happen — not what did.To override this, answer:Who did I become this year that I wasn’t last year? What behaviours did I stop tolerating?Where did I tell the truth, set boundaries, or listen to my intuition? What did I outgrow?3.
