  • What's going on in 2024?
    Nov 18 2024

This is the introduction to Season 3 with Blueprint Analysis. It has been eleven months since the last show, and boy, we have missed it. This year was filled with ups and downs. Lots happened, and there was lots to talk about. Rather than start off with a two-hour show, we decided to have a quick recap of the year and talk about our two new books coming out in early 2025.

The Random Thought for the show was, “Have you accomplished everything you wanted to do this year, and are you satisfied with where you are?” I want you to leave your comments. Let me know if you were the overachiever and got everything done or if you still need to work on some things. No matter where you land, let me know your thoughts.

We are also very excited to have two books available in early 2025. We had hoped to launch them this year, but the books are not quite ready. Rather than keep you waiting any further, I read the introduction to Chaos Management: A Reflective Look at Workplace Burnout and Communication Challenges. This book also has a companion journal, Transforming Chaos into Communication, which can be purchased with the book or separately.

  • The Recap
    Dec 26 2023

What happened in your 2023. For me it has been a heck of a year. The was family stuff, financial stuff, health stuff and everything else in between. It was a learning year and it was a growth year. The things we think we know about ourselves get tested when we are put in circumstances that require a different response. How did you do compared to what you wanted to achieve verses what you actually achieved? No shame here, we all go through things and we all make mistakes. Let's recap the year and work on building a better 2024!

  • Season 2 Episode 5: GROWTH
    Jun 26 2023

Growth is something that happens to us all in some form or fashion. There is the growth we experienced as a child and the growth from that state of mind to being an adult. The way that growth is measured is subjective. We all have our different views and definitions of it. If 100 people were in a room and asked to define growth, I might just get 100 different answers.

One of the things that you might be guilty of is overlooking all the hard work it took to get to where you are right now in your life. Perhaps it is not where you want to be but you are still not where you were. Taking stock of your life and being able to see the growth is very important in achieving your goals. What tools do you use to measure growth? Does it matter if it is personal growth, professional growth, monetary growth or educational growth? The other thing to remember is everyone is different and has their own path, so what is growth to you may not be the same to someone else.

  • REALLY!
    May 30 2023

This episode is about letting other define you, whether is conscious or unconscious behavior it happens. We often tell ourselves that what people say or what they believe is not our business and it doesn't matter. If their words impact you or cause you unnecessary harm then perhaps it is time to clear the air. At times it truly might be easier to let it go. However, what happens if we start drinking the kool aide and now we believe all the false narratives that were place on us? What happens if we no longer know who we are because we have let other people create a personae of ourselves that is simply not true?

Are words harmless or harmful? Does it depend on what or who said them. If words have power to negatively influence our lives should we address it at that point. When does it end, or when does it begin for that matter. We all should know who we are be able to stand up for ourselves when others attack our character or our integrity.

    1. You are enough.
    2. Just because you may have lived a false narrative, does not mean it has to continue. Start today, and change it. Be who you are meant to be and don't let anyone define you.
    3. Create your safe space. A space where you can write, sing, journal, draw the things that bring you peace and joy. Take your mental breaks whenever you can to stay grounded and focused inside of your safe space.
    4. Remember, that the hardest battles are fought with ourselves.
    5. Never give up, face the world with integrity and strength of character. Believe that you can make a difference and you will make a difference.

  • Getting Organized
    Apr 26 2023

This week the topic is getting organized. How do you get and stay organized. Did you know that organization is actually a soft skill. It is what keeps us on track, helps us communicate and provides clarity when we are communicating with others. I'm sure you have had those moments where it felt like you couldn't organize a coherent thought to save your life. We all have. It's frustrating and can be embarrassing. Did you know that Americans spend on average 25% of their work week looking for things they need to do their job. Of the number of employed Americans they spend an average of 75% searching for resources needed to do their job. (Miles, 2023). If you add that up it is 260 hours of wasted time spent on the wrong thing.

There are 10 key organizational skills that are covered on the show those are:

    1. Physical organization

    2. Goal setting

    3. Prioritization skills

    4. Decision making skills

    5. Strategic thinking and planning

    6. Collaboration

    7. Effective communication

    8. Time management

    9. Self-motivation

    10. Self-management

(Miles, 2023) 10 Organizational skills that will put you a step ahead, www.betterup.com/blog/organizational-skills Give me your feedback on the topic question and you could be a guest on the show. Be sure to comment and/or send an email to yolanda@blueprintproject.net If you want more information on being organized there are many books that can help you.
