This week on Brothers on Ice, we've got a very special guest joining us for the first time... MOM! ❤️

Blair joins Jamie, Jonah, Elijah, and Solomon for a fun and informative conversation about something every young athlete needs to understand: NUTRITION!

As a board-certified family medicine physician and hockey dad, James shares his medical perspective on nutrition, childhood growth, and athletic performance, while Blair gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep a house full of growing hockey players fed and fueled!

We're talking about what to eat before games and practices, how nutrition supports growth and muscle development, the importance of hydration and recovery, and how to make healthy choices while juggling busy hockey schedules.

The boys get to ask Mom some questions, Mom turns the tables on Dad and the boys, and we have plenty of laughs along the way!

But most importantly, we discuss why taking care of our bodies is about more than becoming bigger, stronger, or better hockey players. Our bodies, abilities, and opportunities are gifts from God, and everything we do should bring glory to Him.

From slow starts and turning things around to overcoming mistakes, staying focused, and giving your best effort, the boys share what they've learned about the importance of mindset.

We discuss what it really means to work hard, how your attitude affects your performance, and why effort is a choice, even when things aren't going your way.

Most importantly, we bring it all back to Christ. Whether we're winning, losing, scoring goals, or making saves, our purpose remains the same: to glorify God in everything we do.

BROTHERS ON ICE | EPISODE 5

Another hockey weekend is in the books, and there’s plenty to talk about!

In Episode 5, Jonah, Eli, and Solomon are back at the table breaking down the latest action on the ice. Jonah talks about his tournament weekend, including a couple of goals and some big moments with his team, while Eli takes us inside the crease after putting together a huge game and earning a SHUTOUT!

We talk about what went right, what still needs work, and some of the fun that happens when you put three hockey-playing brothers behind microphones.

And as always, hockey is only part of the story. We talk about keeping the right perspective, staying humble through the highs, learning through the lows, and remembering who gets the glory through it all.
