  • Assurance of the Gospel | 1-2-3 - Part 5
    Jun 29 2026
Colton Ernst picks up 1 John 5 as we continue our 1-2-3 series. Our foundational concept for this series is a reminder; that walking with Jesus means letting Him lead. And one of the ways that He leads us in is in loving other believers. See, the way we love other believers should be our strongest witness to the world. The apostle John's letter here is a reminder that we are to love one another; it was one of the main two commandments that Jesus said was most important. John also was us to rest assured that Jesus' sacrifice allows us to be sure of our salvation. Knowing that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, John also encourages us to keep away from idols. Jesus is the true and only way to the Father, and everything else fades away. Ultimately, we are reminded, that we can rest assured in the gospel! - Key Verses // 3 John 1:4, 1 John 5 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive

  • More Like God | 1-2-3 - Part 4 | Pastor Weston Clark
    Jun 23 2026
Pastor Weston Clark continues our 1-2-3 series, this week we look at 1 John 4. Again, starting off with our foundational concept for this series, that walking with Jesus means letting Him lead. Submitting to His guidance always helps us in loving each other well and growing into what He has called us to be. And we'll see today in 1 John 4, that love in grace and truth, is love that leads to change. We need the pairing of grace and truth to love each other well and to lead other in knowing God better and trusting Him more. Through John's letter we see that Jesus chose to love for us, John then tells us that love is a choice, not an emotion. That love is to be demonstrated just as Christ demonstrated it for us. Ultimately, 1 John 4 teaches us that love is not passive. It requires action. Because when you love like Jesus loved, the world notices and changes. - Key Verses // 3 John 1:4, 1 John 4 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive
