• Asking the Hard Questions: How it Builds Our Faith with Kendall Mariah
    Feb 18 2026

    Send a text

What is it about the hard questions in life that make us sink back and avoid them? Is it the awkwardness? The unknown? The not fully understanding the topic? It could be any number of these things or others but what we are asking this week on the podcast is, why not talk about it?

That's why the wonderful and talented Kendall Mariah wrote this book on this very topic. She isn't afraid to go to those hard topics and talk about them. She knows that when we do, our faith can be strengthened. why? Because when we take those hard topics to God he is faithful to respond and meet us right where we are. What a great God we serve!

So many people are looking back to 2016, and for Kendall, in 2016 she founded Unapologetic Ministry, a blog and community focused on topics that are often-taboo in the church--infertility, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, just to name a few. She is an influencer, author and Bible study leader. Kendall and her husband, Justin, are currently remodeling a 1937 colonial home in their hometown of Benson, North Carolina, where she loves to share a glimpse into their small-town life.

This is one of those books you will want to read with a friend so you can practice those hard conversations in a safe place.

    Conversation Highlights:

    • All of scripture is connected & it’s overarching theme is the story of God’s redeeming plan
    • We can have the same determined loyalty as Ruth in following Christ
    • A daily desire to be in relationship with God can be simple
    • Jesus shows us what a relationship with God looks like so we can be redeemed
    • God will faithfully meet you with his redeeming love when you go to scripture

  • Prioritizing Your Marriage, Your Spouse and Yourself for a Deeper Connection with Lindsey Maestas
    Feb 4 2026

The idea that we have the potential to burn down our own house and not even know it seems absurd... until it isn't. I'm not talking about our physical house, I'm talking about marriage. Things like contempt, bitterness and unforgiveness creep in and we don't know it until it seems like it too late.

Lindsey Maestas is a writer and podcast host known for saying the hard things gently. Recognized as a renowned relationship expert, writer, speaker, and entrepreneur, she reaches millions globally. She has made her mark through her honest teaching style and widely acclaimed podcast, Living Easy with Lindsey, which has attracted a devoted audience of over three million listeners. The show blends emotional depth with real-life vulnerability, tackling everything from postpartum struggles and navigating difficult adult friendships to building stronger intimacy in marriage and studying the Bible with clarity.

At the core of Lindsey’s impact is The Wife Project: From Roommates to Soulmates, a biblical marriage course that has helped tens of thousands of women worldwide create connection and find real purpose in their relationships. Through candid storytelling and biblically grounded wisdom, Lindsey helps her audience build relationships that feel safe and honest—not perfect. Her content is part pep talk, part tough love, and all heart, designed to make you stop settling for a life of “fine” because you were created for far more. Lindsey lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband and two boys.

    Conversation Highlights:

    • We can not replace relationship community with scrolling on social
    • You are not a failure because you have a hard marriage
    • Shame plays a big part in division inside of marriage
    • Contempt easily sneaks in and causes major issues
    • We need to be direct about our needs, speak the truth in love
    • Expect more of yourself than you do of your spouse

  • Finding Yourself in the Wild Pursing Love of God with Whitney Lowe
    Jan 28 2026

    Send us a text

Happy first episode of season 8!

Whether we grew up in the church or accepted Christ at a later age, we need to remember just how wildly in love with us our amazing God is. That he is actively pursing us in our current season of life. That's exactly what my new friend Whitney's book is all about. She shares part of her story during the episode and it's a beautiful reminder of how God never stops chasing after us.

Whitney Lowe is a Christian influencer who wants to see young women excited about God’s work: in the Bible, in history, in the world and in themselves. She writes and creates on Instagram (linked below) on an account born from the realization that young women simply do not interact with the Bible enough to be changed by its truth.

Whitney is passionate about disrupting the toxic scroll of social media with hope, peace, and light straight from Scripture. She released her first devotional, Set Your Eyes Higher: A 40-Day Reset to Slow Your Anxiety and Fix Your Focus on God, in September 2024. Whitney grew up in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from Westmont College with a degree Religious Studies. She now lives in Colorado with her husband Tanner – who is a pastor – and their three young children.

This is a book you need to share with a friend after sending them the link to listen to the episode. It's going to impact them in ways you won't ever fully grasp. Click that share button on your listening app!

    Conversation Highlights:

    • God is the pursuer of us
    • The pursuit doesn’t rely on us, it relies only on God
    • Your part is to turn around and receive what God has, not to try to earn it
    • Scripture is the story of God pursuing His people
    • Be reminded of who you are because of who loves you
    • Your experience today will help someone else tomorrow

  • Authentically Living for Jesus Christ with Linda Hagar
    Dec 10 2025

    Send us a text

Last week was all about motherhood and how sometimes it can be tough. Keeping our eyes on Jesus and seeing ourselves like he sees us makes all the difference. If you missed that episode, make sure you go back and listen to it! This week is a follow up episode that I'm excited to share with you!

I met Linda through a friend and she agreed to sit down and share authentically her experience in following Jesus. It's not always perfect and we can always improve but the truth is, there is grace for us! Being Holy Spirit led, aka, letting God be in control of your life is not for the casual Christian. It's for those who want more of God, want to be made into his image and want to impact the world around them for the Kingdom. It was such a joy to talk with Linda about what it looks like to follow God and how to let the Holy Spirit guide us.

    Key Takeaways:

    • There is always grace for us, we can't expect to be perfect in our walk with the Lord
    • We can't be so busy that we don't have time for God
    • B.U.S.Y. = Being Under Satan's Yoke
    • We need to listen to God more than we list things off to him
    • Being led by the Holy Spirit doesn't happen over night, we need to continually surrender to him and let him lead

    Dec 3 2025

    Send us a text

Motherhood.... it will always be one of the biggest blessings in our life but it is also something that can drive us crazy! Do not get me wrong, I love my kiddos and would do absolutely anything for them but some days, they push every button I have and even discover new ones! haha Have you been there?

My amazing friend Shayla felt the exact same way for years. She was just like us, frustrated, angry, yelling and checked out. Then something changed. The Lord spoke to her and took her on a journey of healing not just in motherhood but in herself. Her insight on this topic is not revolutionary but it sure feels like it to those of us who are still on the struggle bus!! Her newest book, 10 Things I Hate About Motherhood touches on the 10 things that she struggled with that God did a mighty work in. Then she did the generous thing and shared them with us in this book! This book is one that needs to be on your bookshelf at all times for reference!

Shayla is a rodeo wife and momma, author and speaker who helps women seek God first to transform their marriages, their homes, and their lives! She's a small town wife and momma from Iowa who loves Jesus and is passionate about pointing women to TRUTH so they can live abundant and thriving lives.

    Key Takeaways:

    • We can’t compare our children to each other or other children
    • You are a good mom!
    • Having self compassion is hard because of shame, God can and will deliver us from shame!
    • Shame is a lie that tells us we deserve to feel bad, while conviction is God’s gentle call to healing, not punishment
    • Don’t make everything about personal failure
    • We have to see ourselves and our children through God’s eyes - this makes all the difference in our parenting
    • We need to be honest and authentic with God
    • Parenting can be a journey of grace and repair
