I don’t know if you’re like me…I want things to change…but when things actually CHANGE…it’s nothing like I thought it would be. And I get ticked!

What do you think about when you hear the word "STRIPPED"?

We hear the word STRIPPED and most of us think something negative or bad when is happening. But when Jesus has STRIPPED something away from us…it’s ALWAYS for our good. ALWAYS. The reason that it’s so painful…is because we’ve been holding on to it…so tightly.

But what if the greatest blessing is coming...when that OLD thing...which no longer has a purpose...is stripped away and now we are FREE to step into a NEW purpose?

Could it be that the greatest blessing IS being STRIPPED?

What makes a GOOD dad? And what if YOUR dad wasn't good?

Maybe you had a father who was dialed in and engaged. He affirmed you and loved you well.

But maybe you don’t have a father in your life or maybe you had a father who wasn’t kind, loving or caring. Maybe your father walked away and didn’t choose you.

It's Father's Day and we're talking about men...their struggles, the pressure, how they lead their families. And guess what? They have crud, too! Depending on how they've dealt with it...or not...can represent the kind of man or "dad" they've become.

Good thing I know a GOOD FATHER.

Have you ever found yourself praying and asking God for something…over and over…hoping and praying, crying out for something that you need or for God to provide something for you or a loved one?

But then He answers and you’re like, “What the heck? That’s NOT what I wanted, Lord!!!” And you find yourself angry and almost devastated and deeply grieving the ANSWER that you asked for.

Yep, me too!

Obviously…this is personal for me. I DID turn in my family member. I was 11 and I turned in my own mother for physical abuse. I also reported the name, address and events of my sex trafficking...at the hands of her boyfriend...in detail to the police.

Hardest...most gut-wrenching decision I've ever had to make.

But I knew in my heart that what was happening to me was WRONG. Nobody was coming to help me. I made a decision to get myself help.

Why? I knew there was more. And I didn’t want any other kid to go through what had happened to me.

People have lots of reasons why they NEVER told a soul or reported their abuse or rape as a kid. But at what cost?
