• 033: The Trauma of Lot and his Daughters: Kayla Jentes (Genesis 19:30-38)
    Jul 14 2026

Co-Hosts Mike Mason and Dave Lester welcome multi-time return guest, Kayla Jentes, back on the show to talk about Lot and his daughters living in a cave. Lot is afraid in the city of Zoar so he and his daughters flee to a cave in the mountains. It is there that Lot's daughters hatch a plot to preserve their family line through sexually assaulting their father. It is a story that is morally outrageous but also contains some complexity. The hosts and guest also talk about how the point of this epilogue to the Sodom and Gomorrah account is the origin of the Moabites and the Ammonites.
