Welcome to Earthmates where we explore how to find your path from climate anxiety to community action.

Despite the vast majority of people feeling concerned about our planet, the question “What can I do? 🤷🏽” is collectively stuck on repeat. So I think it’s about time we start asking a much more curious set of questions like, “Who are you? And how do you show up in relationship?” Because that matters!

Yep, it’s gonna get raw and real (but also playful and silly) as together we discover how your sense of being and belonging with planet, self, and others can help you imagine and create what's possible through the lens of the 5 Earth Archetypes.

Host Amber Peoples chats with her friends about what it means to inhabit their archetype, waxes poetic about her own, and sits with elders that break the mold in wonderful ways.
Who will you resonate with? Who will stretch you to think differently? Who will inspire change?

Youth voices are vital in climate and environmental justice.

What they’ve inherited is the advancement of things like smart phones and also the destabilization of most natural systems.

On this penultimate episode of Earthmates’ first season, we look to the future with 19 year old Mari Dela Cruz.

Taking the quiz during the recent Youth Climate Summit at Lewis & Clark Law School, Mari embraced how her Weaver Earth Archetype affirmed her passion for bringing people together and bridging gaps combines her passions for mental health, diverse populations, computers, and entrepreneurship.

Listen in as she shares how her Gen Z playfulness helps her navigate the environmental action she knows is needed.

Each episode has a unique journey to get to you. This one required some gestation. For you. For me. For Kawenniiosta. For the season. For tech. For a life force of its own.

When Earthmates was still just an idea, some potential partners guided me to a video of Kawenniiosta Jock speaking at the Waterfall Unity Festival where she emphasized the power of embodiment.

Her power, compassion, humility, and curiosity struck me, and I feel so fortunate this episode is now ready to share.

Drawing from personal life experiences ranging from ancestors to hawks and water to blood, Kawenniiosta encourages us to go on a journey to self - one that asks us to both commit and surrender. One that opens us to intuition and reciprocity.

Listen in for guidance on how to tap into your own connection to the elements and start feeling like a wizard.
