• Why You Need More Margin
    Jul 6 2026

What if the most productive thing you could do this week is... leave some space?

In this episode, Stephen and Megan explore the power of margin—the space between your capacity and your commitments. They talk about why margin is more than a time management tool, how it becomes a spiritual practice, and why making room for rest, delight, and relationships might be one of the healthiest things you can do. Plus, they settle an important debate: What's the difference between a sleepover and a slumber party?

    In this episode:

    • What margin is—and why we all need more of it
    • The difference between rest, laziness, and Sabbath
    • Scheduled rest vs. planned spontaneity
    • Signs you may need more margin in your life
    • How to create and protect healthy margin

EVERYDAY ADVENTURE CHALLENGE: The Time Audit

Take a look at your calendar from the past week.

Where did your time actually go? What gave you life? What drained you? Where could you intentionally create a little more margin this week?

  • Making Room for What Matters Most
    Jun 22 2026

Most people want to do more of what matters most. More meaningful relationships. More purpose. More time for the things that truly matter.

So why is it so hard?

In this episode, Stephen and Megan explore some of the external and internal factors that keep us from prioritizing what matters most. From packed schedules and competing commitments to fear, guilt, and uncertainty, they discuss what gets in the way—and why clarity matters so much.

Because if we aren't clear on what matters most, it's almost impossible to make room for it.

If you've ever felt stretched thin, distracted, or like your life is being driven by everything except your priorities, this conversation is for you.

    EVERYDAY ADVENTURE CHALLENGE: QUIT SOMETHING

Inspired by Bob Goff's advice, choose one thing to stop doing this week.

Maybe it's a commitment that's no longer serving your priorities. Maybe it's a habit that's taking more than it's giving. Maybe it's a distraction that's crowding out something more important.

We're not talking about ghosting responsibilities or abandoning people. Handle things the right way. But ask yourself:

What is one thing I can remove to make room for what matters most?

Sometimes the best way to add more of what matters most is to eliminate something that doesn't.

  • Brandon Janous | What Dying Taught Us About Living
    Jun 15 2026

What if the people at the end of life see something the rest of us miss? In this deeply moving conversation, Brandon Janous shares how a decision to spend a year traveling with his wife Rachel and their three children transformed his priorities and helped him discover what truly matters most. Shortly after that season, Rachel was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, beginning a journey that would forever change their family.

Through stories of love, loss, faith, community, and resilience, Brandon shares the powerful lessons Rachel left behind and what dying taught them about truly living. This episode is an invitation to stop waiting, be fully present, and invest in the people and moments that matter most.

Everyday Adventure Challenge: The Just Do Challenge

One of Rachel's final messages to Brandon was simple: "Get the golf membership with your dad." It wasn't really about golf. It was a reminder that the things we'll treasure most are often the moments we share with the people we love. Don't wait for someday.

    This week:

    • Identify one meaningful experience you've been putting off.
    • Choose someone you'd like to share it with.
    • Put it on the calendar this week.
    • Follow through and do it.

Take the trip. Sign up for the class. Schedule the coffee. Make the memory.

    Just do the thing.

  • Dr. Jessica Turner | Learning to Fly Above Depression & Anxiety
    Jun 8 2026

What if some of the struggles you're facing today have roots that go back much further than you realize?

In this episode, Dr. Jessica Turner shares her journey with depression and anxiety, including discovering her college roommate after a suicide attempt, navigating a difficult pregnancy and the premature birth of her twins, experiencing miscarriage, and revisiting childhood journals that revealed patterns she had long forgotten.

Together, we talk about the importance of facing our reality, bringing hidden hurts into the light, and embracing the healing that is available to us. Jessica also shares how her faith has shaped her journey and why she believes true wholeness is ultimately found in God.

Whether you have personally struggled with mental health challenges or love someone who has, this is a vulnerable, honest, and hope-filled conversation.

Everyday Adventure Challenge: Read Your Story

This week, set aside 20–30 minutes to revisit a piece of your story.

Pull out an old journal, scroll through old photos, revisit old text messages, or look back through a past season of life. As you reflect, ask yourself:

    • What was I carrying during this season?
    • What has God healed in me since then?
    • Is there any hurt, disappointment, fear, or grief I never fully dealt with?
    • What might God be inviting me to bring into the light today?

Write down one thing you discovered and one next step you can take toward healing, growth, or greater honesty.

Sometimes the clues to where God wants to take us next are hidden in the stories we've never fully processed.

    May 18 2026
Ryan Wekenman is a storyteller, pastor, and teaching pastor at Red Rocks Austin, a vibrant church he helped plant with close friends. He’s passionate about helping people explore life’s biggest questions through creative communication, co-hosts multiple podcasts, and is the author of Free Me From Me and Single Today. In this episode, Stephen sits down with Ryan for an honest and surprisingly funny conversation about the “me maze” — that exhausting cycle of performance, comparison, control, and self-focus that so many of us get stuck in. From a wild COVID self-help overdose story (yes, literally passing out in his backyard) to practical tools for shifting from self-centered living to God-centered freedom, Ryan unpacks why self-help isn’t the enemy—but why self at the center always leaves us weary. Together, they explore modern-day “fig leaves,” the pressure of performance, the power of prayer, and what it looks like to honestly answer God’s question: “Where are you?” If you’ve ever felt stuck in your own head, weighed down by pressure, or exhausted trying to keep it all together, this episode is for you.In this episode, we talk about:The “me maze” and how performance, comparison, and control quietly keep us stuckRyan’s hilarious (and painfully relatable) story of “overdosing on self-help”The difference between self-care and the soul care only God can providePractical ways to shift from self-focused living through prayer and Christ-centered breath prayerWhat it means to be fully known, truly loved, and free from the pressure of performingConnect with Ryan:Instagram: @ryanwekenmanBook: Free Me From Me on AmazonConnect with us:Follow Stephen: @stephenglasserFollow Everyday Adventure: @evdayadventure🎙️ Subscribe, leave a review, and share this episode with a friend who might need this conversation.📘 Grab Stephen’s book: Everyday AdventureAdventure is closer than you think.
