• 34 - Blessed but Depressed
    Feb 24 2026

Depression is something a lot of people go through—but hardly anyone talks about it. In this episode, Izzie sits down with pastor Dan, and has a real, honest conversation about depression, mental health, faith and wow what a conversation it is…

We talk about why it’s not a sign of weak faith, and how believing in God doesn’t magically make hard feelings disappear. Instead of giving “quick fixes,” this episode focuses on understanding, compassion, and hope—both for yourself and for the people around you.

Sometimes faith doesn’t mean feeling better right away. Sometimes it just means taking the next small step—and that’s okay.

Wherever you are with your mental health, this conversation is for you, but it could also help for a friend.

🧠 Mental health. 😁 I am well pleased. 🤝 Community.

Also Dan recommended some things to read off the back of hs episode… Hope they help!

  • 33 - Screen time
    Feb 17 2026

“Get in loser, we’re going to Church…”

In this episode of Faith for Dummies, we’re talking about screen time—how much is too much, why it’s so hard to log off, and what our scrolling habits are doing to our faith (whether we realise it or not).

From endless TikToks to late-night Netflix binges, screens aren’t just killing time—they’re shaping how we think, what we value, and who we listen to. So where does God fit into all of that? And is “just delete the apps” actually the answer?

No guilt. No shaming. Just honest conversation, (hopefully?) practical wisdom, and a reminder that faith was never meant to compete with a screen—it’s meant to shape the way we use it.

Hit play if you’ve ever said “five more minutes” and meant thirty. 😅

📱Screen time. ✝️Faith in real life. 🎂 Faith for Dummies (aka us) Birthday.

  • 31 - Listening for God
    Feb 3 2026

The dummies are back(!) and hopefully it’s worth the wait (have a listen to hear why!). Kicking straight off with listening for God and how on earth you actually do that in real life — not just the “sit in silence for 3 hours on a mountain” kind of way 😅

Join Izzie and Rob as they chat about the different ways Christians believe God speaks and the pressure to “hear something big” or even hear anything. Own experiences are shared (wait for Sam’s sandwich, and moving to Bedford story) and just generally reminding each other that listening to God often looks a lot more normal than we expect. No perfect answers — just two dummies talking things through together.

And of course… a few classic dummy moments along the way!

  • Ep 28 - What is the rapture?
    Dec 2 2025

In this long-awaited episode, Adam —vicar, youth leader, Danehill trustee/legend, and midnight-kebab survivor—helps unpack the requested (and confusing) topic: the rapture 📖.

With clarity and humour, Adam explains what the Bible actually says, and (arguably) the two main views of the rapture. From Left Behind disappearances to a picture of Jesus’ cosmic return. Adam also breaks down how early Christians understood persecution, how Revelation uses symbols, and why Jesus’ return should encourage us rather than freak us out.

Listen to hear how this matters for everyday life—exams, school stress, friendships—and how not to panic every time someone online says, “He’s coming back tonight!”

Whether you've been a Christian for years, or someone who's heard the word “rapture” and thought it was a Marvel movie, this episode breaks it down simply and biblically.

🌤️ The rapture. ✝️ Jesus will return. 🤔 What will you do?
