  • Ep 240 // How to Stop Measuring Your Life by What You Didn’t Finish
    Oct 8 2026
Do you ever reach the end of a completely full day and find yourself thinking about everything you didn't get done? You worked, cared for your family, handled responsibilities, solved problems, and responded to whatever came your way—and yet, when the day ends, your unfinished to-do list is what stands out. If you're a working mom who often feels behind, overwhelmed, or frustrated by everything still waiting for you, this episode is for you. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about how to stop measuring your day by what you didn't finish and start recognizing what you did give your time and attention to. Because the truth is, you don't have to finish everything to have used your day well. As working moms, our time and energy are limited. We can't give everything the same amount of attention, and trying to do so can leave us constantly feeling like we're falling short. Instead, we need to become clear about what matters most and learn to make intentional choices with the time we have. Lindsay also shares how identifying your foundational priorities can help you make more confident decisions about your time, become more comfortable with your yeses and nos, and recognize that sometimes something remains unfinished because something else needed your attention. You'll also be encouraged to look at your day differently. Instead of ending the day asking, “Why didn't I get more done?” consider asking: “What did the Lord put in front of me today that needed my attention?” Because not everything that matters will be on your to-do list when you wake up. Your day may change. Your plans may change. Someone may need you. Something unexpected may come up. And when that happens, you may not accomplish everything you planned—but that doesn't mean you didn't use your time well. In this episode, you'll discover: Why unfinished tasks can make a full day feel unproductive Why working moms often feel like they're constantly behind How limited time and capacity can help us make wiser choices Why knowing your foundational priorities matters How priorities can give you more confidence in your yeses and nos A healthier way to evaluate your day How to stop allowing an unfinished to-do list to define your day Why you can have things left undone and still know you showed up well If you're tired of ending each day focused on what remains unfinished, I hope this episode helps you see your days through a different lens. You don't have to finish everything to have used your day well. Want help getting clear on your foundational priorities? • Ep 239 // Why One Small Thing Can Throw Off Your Whole Day
    Oct 6 2026

Have you ever had one small thing happen during your day that seemed to affect everything that came after it? A difficult email, an unexpected change in plans, a frustrating moment with your kids, or a conversation at work can sometimes feel much bigger than it normally would—especially when you're already carrying a lot.

In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about why one small thing can throw off your whole day and what may actually be happening underneath the reaction. Sometimes the small thing isn't the real problem. It's simply the thing that reveals how much we've already been carrying.

As working Christian moms, we're often balancing work, family, responsibilities, relationships, schedules, and all the ordinary demands of daily life. When our capacity is already stretched, one more unexpected thing can feel like too much.

We'll talk about how our minds can take one difficult moment and begin attaching meaning to it—and how that can cause us to carry a moment much longer than we need to. A frustrating situation can quickly become a story about our abilities, our parenting, our work, or whether we're doing enough.

But one difficult moment doesn't have to become a difficult day.

In this episode, you'll be encouraged to step back from the moment, separate what actually happened from the story you may have attached to it, and bring that moment to God. We'll look at the reminder from Lamentations 3 that God's compassion never fails and that His grace isn't only available at the beginning of a new day. We can come back to Him right in the middle of our day.

    You'll be encouraged to remember:

    • Why small things can feel much bigger when you're already carrying a lot

    • How one difficult moment can begin affecting the rest of your day

    • The difference between what actually happened and the meaning we attach to it

    • How to recognize when you're responding from everything you've already been carrying

    • Why you don't have to wait until tomorrow to begin again

    • How God's grace meets you in the middle of an ordinary, difficult day

    • How to choose what happens next instead of allowing one moment to determine the rest of your day

One hard moment doesn't have to become a hard day.

And remember: don't let 9:15 this morning steal 3:00 this afternoon.

  • Ep 238 // How to Stop Feeling Like Everything Is Urgent as a Working Mom
    Oct 2 2026

As a working Christian mom, it can feel like everything needs your attention right now. The email. The text. The deadline. Your kids. Your house. Your responsibilities.

But just because something is demanding your attention doesn't mean it actually deserves your attention.

In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about what happens when everything starts to feel urgent and how to recognize what actually matters. Because when we're constantly responding to whatever is loudest, we can become so distracted that we miss the things God has actually placed in front of us.

We'll look at the story of Nehemiah and how he recognized that he couldn't step away from the work God had given him simply because someone else was demanding his attention.

And there's a spiritual lesson here, too. Not every distraction is the enemy, but Scripture reminds us that we do have an enemy who wants to pull our attention away from God and what He has called us to do. Sometimes distraction doesn't look dramatic. Sometimes it simply looks like being so busy, scattered, and reactive that we lose sight of what matters most.

In this episode, you'll learn how to:

    • Recognize the difference between what is urgent and what is actually important
    • Notice when you're allowing the loudest demand to determine where your attention goes
    • Think differently about distraction from a biblical perspective
    • Give yourself permission to let some things wait
    • Ask a simple question that can help you make wiser decisions with your time and attention
The question to take with you:

    What actually matters here?

You don't have unlimited time, energy, or attention. You don't have to give everything the same amount of yourself.

    Sometimes faithfulness means responding immediately.

And sometimes faithfulness means letting the loud thing stay loud while you continue doing what matters.

    A reminder for your week:

Not everything that demands your attention deserves it.

You don't have to let what is loud determine what gets your attention.
