• Maybe You Don't Need to Reinvent Yourself
    Oct 13 2026

New year, new you. New month, new habits. Reinvent yourself. Become HER.

    Sound familiar? 😂

And listen, I love a good reset. I literally run monthly challenges! But lately I've been asking myself a different question:

What if I don't actually need to become someone completely different? What if I just need to give myself permission to be who I've always wanted to be?

This week on Fighting For Your Fairytale, we're getting a little personal.

For years, I got really good at being different versions of myself depending on where I was and what people expected of me. Dance teacher Sarah. Business owner Sarah. Wife Sarah. Disney-loving Sarah. And the sarcastic, sassy Sarah who didn't always make an appearance. 😂

I wasn't necessarily pretending to be someone else. I was just keeping certain parts of myself quiet.

Moving to Orlando, changing careers, rebuilding routines, and pursuing new dreams gave me the opportunity to explore who I wanted to be. But here's what surprised me: even when you change your environment, you can still carry everyone else's expectations around in your head.

We're talking about finding your voice, learning to stop making yourself smaller, pursuing dreams you can't fully explain, and realizing that not every question or concern from someone else needs to become a request for permission.

And maybe most importantly, we're talking about the difference between going back to who you used to be and making room for the person you've always wanted to become.

    Ask yourself:

    1. What's something I've always wanted to do, explore, or express but keep talking myself out of?

    2. Whose opinion am I worried about—and does that person actually get a vote?

    3. What's one small way I can make room for that part of myself this week?

You don't have to quit your job, move across the country, or start a podcast.

Sometimes the first step is simply giving yourself permission.

Maybe your next chapter isn't about becoming somebody new. Maybe it's about finally allowing yourself to be YOU.

  • Stop Waiting to Feel Motivated
    Oct 6 2026

You know those people who seem ridiculously motivated all the time?

Yeah...I'm not one of them. 😂

I know social media might make it look different. I walk almost every day. I work out consistently. I run monthly challenges. I've exercised for most of my life.

And I genuinely love feeling strong.

But there are still mornings I'd much rather sit under a blanket with a warm cup of coffee than go for a walk. There are workouts that intimidate me before I start them. And after lunch? I can negotiate with myself with the best of them.

So this week on Fighting For Your Fairytale, we're talking about something I'm learning in real time during my October Reset:

Motivation might help you start—but you can't depend on feeling motivated to keep showing up.

I'm sharing how my morning routine became almost automatic without me ever deciding to become a “5 a.m. person,” the sweet story of how my Boston Terrier Molly accidentally helped create a habit that stuck long after she was gone, and why Tony apparently looks forward to our morning walks every single day while I had to ask him, “EVERY day?!” 😂

We're also talking about why weekends completely expose my lack of structure, decision fatigue, the endless negotiations I have with myself around food and fitness, Burger & Broccoli Gate with Tony, and the difference between intentionally adjusting your plan and talking yourself out of something simply because it's uncomfortable.

Because discipline doesn't mean being perfect.

    It doesn't mean never resting.

And it doesn't mean blindly following a plan that no longer serves you.

Sometimes it's simply remembering why you made the promise to yourself in the first place—and showing up again when you don't feel like it.

Pick ONE thing you've been waiting to feel motivated to do.

    Then ask yourself:

When am I going to do it?
    What can trigger it?
How can I remove the decision from it?

And for the next seven days, stop renegotiating that one promise with yourself.

Maybe the goal isn't to become someone who's motivated every day.

Maybe it's becoming someone you can trust to show up even when you don't feel like it.

  • What I’m Doing at 42 to Feel Better at 52
    Oct 1 2026

What am I doing at 42 so that 52-year-old Sarah is really freaking glad I took care of her?

Surprisingly, this episode doesn't start with protein, supplements, skincare—or even working out.

It starts with who and what I allow access to my life.

Over the last few years, I've realized that feeling better physically isn't separate from my relationships, stress, schedule, mental health, or the life I'm actually creating. Sometimes the biggest change isn't another workout or another supplement. Sometimes it's getting out of an environment you didn't even realize was making you miserable.

In this episode of Fighting For Your Fairytale, I'm sharing what I'm actually doing—and still figuring out—at 42 as I think about the woman I want to be at 52.

We're talking about why I've traded a lot of intense cardio for walking and lifting heavy, why getting stronger excites me more than simply burning calories, and why my goal isn't necessarily to be smaller at 52—I want to be able to DO stuff.

I'm also getting into my approach to nutrition and the endless conflicting wellness rules on the internet, experimenting with supplements (including why creatine has become one of my personal non-negotiables), and why I believe research matters—but so do your individual goals, health and body.

And then we get into the stuff I'm very much still working through: reaching the weight I once thought would make me happy with my body...and still finding things to criticize. My dancer brain. My relationship with the scale. My habit of creating a plan and then wanting to completely redesign it approximately six minutes later. 😂

Plus: enjoying Disney and dinner with friends without making “being healthy” my entire personality, trying to take skincare seriously when I HATE washing my face, and my ongoing battle with putting lotion on my body.

Because apparently taking care of Future Sarah involves boundaries, dumbbells, protein, creatine, birthday cake, sunscreen...and learning to put the freaking lotion on. 😂

    My biggest takeaway?

Move your body. Get strong. Nourish yourself. Get outside. Sleep. Protect your peace. Figure out the handful of things that actually matter for YOU—and enjoy your freaking life.

I don't know exactly what 52-year-old Sarah will need. But I want her to look back at this version of me and be really happy that I took care of her. 💗

  • I Finally Have a Life I Can Say Yes To
    Sep 17 2026

There was a time in my life when saying yes to a random Tuesday night dinner with a group of women would have felt almost impossible.

Not because I didn't want to go. Because I had built a life with absolutely no margin for it.

I taught six (sometimes seven) days a week, helped run our business, and somehow convinced myself that taking time off—for dinner, lunch with a friend, even an Elton John concert Tony bought me tickets to—was something I should feel guilty about.

    And the crazy part?

I didn't realize how much my life had consumed me until I stepped outside of it.

In this episode of Fighting For Your Fairytale, I'm talking about what I've learned since leaving that season of my life, why your dream life might look a whole lot more “ordinary” than you imagined, and something I'm realizing even now: I'm starting to fill every minute of my schedule again.

We're talking about creating margin, learning to say no, making room to say yes to yourself, outgrowing a life you once loved, and asking whether you actually “don't have time”—or whether you've built a life that doesn't have room for the things you say matter to you.

Plus, I'm sharing three completely random things making my life a little better right now… including the TMI supplement update nobody asked for, how I'm using ChatGPT in my kitchen, and the very sophisticated act of buying myself an iced coffee. 😂

    Your Fairytale Fight this week:
What's one thing you keep saying you want to do but “don't have time for”? Look at your life and ask: Do I truly not have time—or have I built a life that doesn't have room for it?

You only get one life. Make room to actually live it.

  • What Are You Fighting For? | Fighting For Your Fairytale Is Back
    Sep 9 2026

    What Are You Fighting For?

Fighting For Your Fairytale is officially back — but a lot of life has happened since we last sat behind the microphones.

For the relaunch, Sarah is joined by her husband Tony for an honest conversation about what “fighting for your fairytale” actually means after nearly 20 years together, 33 years of Tony building businesses, a move to a new state, career changes, health challenges, financial struggles, changing friendships, and more than a few seasons that looked nothing like a fairytale while they were living them.

It starts with a question Sarah and Tony once asked each other about their relationship:

If you knew it was going to be this hard, would you still have done it?

    Their answer might surprise you.

Because the fairytale isn't a life where nothing goes wrong. Go back to almost any fairytale you've ever loved and there was a villain, an obstacle, a battle or a seemingly impossible moment before the happily ever after.

Real life isn't all that different.

In this episode, Sarah and Tony talk about resilience, knowing your why, taking responsibility for the life you want, having faith while still taking action, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, and why the part of someone else's success you see is rarely the whole story.

Whether the thing you're fighting for right now is your marriage, health, career, finances, faith, family, friendships or simply becoming the person you know you're capable of being, this conversation is your reminder:

You can want the fairytale. But you have to be willing to fight for it.

    • Why Sarah decided it was finally time to relaunch the podcast
    • The question that changed the way Sarah and Tony looked at their marriage
    • Why a “fairytale life” doesn't mean an easy life
    • What nearly 20 years together has taught them about sticking through hard seasons
    • Tony's perspective after 33 years as an entrepreneur
    • The difference between wanting something and being willing to work for it
    • Health, finances, relationships and the unglamorous work nobody sees
    • Faith, action and learning to trust your gut
    • Why knowing your why matters when things get hard
    • What starting over and building community has taught Sarah
    • Why other people's fear doesn't get to determine your dream
    • The question Sarah wants you to answer for yourself: What are you fighting for?

  • Body Image Battles: What I Wish I Knew Sooner
    Mar 14 2025

Body image struggles don’t just happen in the entertainment industry—they happen everywhere. But when you grow up in a world where your body is literally judged, it sticks with you.

In this episode, I’m opening up about my personal experiences with body image, from being weighed at auditions to the casual comments that changed how I saw myself. I’ll share:

🔥 The toxic beauty standards I encountered in the dance world🔥 How one comparison made me question everything🔥 The lasting effects of constantly critiquing your body🔥 Why we need to stop commenting on people’s bodies (even if we think it’s a compliment)🔥 A heartfelt reflection on what I got wrong as a teacher and what I’d say to my younger self

I know I haven’t always gotten this right, but one thing I’ve learned? Your body is the least interesting thing about you. If you’ve ever felt like your body was constantly up for discussion—whether in dance, everyday life, or even just in your own mind—this episode is for you.

Let’s change the way we talk about ourselves. Let’s change the way we talk about each other. Let’s stop making body image the measure of our worth.

💜 If this episode resonates, share it with a friend or let me know your thoughts!

  • Self-Love + Legacy: Lessons from Molly
    Feb 14 2025

Happy Valentine’s Day! 💜 Today, we’re diving into self-love—what it really means, why it’s so hard to prioritize, and how my sweet Molly unknowingly taught me one of the biggest lessons of my life.

Molly wasn’t just my dog; she was my routine, my accountability partner, and the reason I built habits that still serve me today. Her morning walks turned into my morning walks. The structure I built around taking care of her became the foundation for taking care of myself. And even after she’s gone, the habits I built because of her have stayed with me.

In this episode, I open up about: ✨ Why self-love is more than bubble baths and affirmations ✨ Thereal reason prioritizing yourself isn’t selfish (and what happens when you don’t) ✨ How taking care of someone else helped me finally take care of myself ✨ The small, daily habits that keep me grounded and showing up for my health ✨ Why the way you talk to yourself matters more than you think

I know self-love can feel cliché, but I also know what happens when we push it aside. So today, I’m challenging you: What’s one small way you can show yourself love this week?

Let’s talk about it! DM me on Instagram or drop a comment. 💜
