  • First Faith Community Church - I Wanna Get Right With God
    Nov 14 2021

In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I deliver the message on the importance of getting right with God. We all have a personal relationship with God, but if we make mistakes and put ourselves before God, we need to fix it and ask God for His forgiveness.

Today’s reading is taken from the Book of Psalms  51, verses 10-12, which tells the story of Nathan the Prophet coming to David. Nathan asks for God’s forgiveness, so that he can be absolved of his sins and renew his relationship with the Lord. This shows us that if we want to get right with God, we must first confess our sins and then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus.

The sermon ends with a closing prayer to thank God for His love and care for us, that we may know Him and live by His word through His son, Jesus Christ.

  • Everything Is Gonna Be Alright
    Oct 24 2021

In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I give a spiritual Chiristian meditation on the nature of suffering and endurance. The sermon is taken from the Book of Mark, chapter 13, verses 6-13, where Jesus describes some of the suffering that we may see, from wars to earthquakes and famines, all of which will bring much sorrow to mankind.

However, we should not lose our faith and despair during these times of sorrow, because everything is going to be alright. Christians should remember the story of Christ’s suffering on the cross and how he died to save humanity, and follow the example that He set for us. Jesus endured his suffering to the end and was rewarded in Heaven, as Christians will be if they endure their suffering on earth to the end. I explain what true endurance looks like and how we can endure, knowing in our hearts that everything will be alright.

This episode ends with a closing prayer, asking our Lord God for the strength to endure our troubles to the end, remaining faithful, focused and fearless, so that we can receive His blessings in the afterlife.

  • Stop Minimizing Your Mess
    Oct 3 2021

In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I speak on God’s message of mercy through Jesus Christ. We need to receive God’s mercy to allow us to be forgiven for our mess, or our sins, no matter how hard we try to hide our sins from God.

The sermon is taken from the Second Book of Samuel, chapter 12, verses 1-7, which tells the story of the prophet Nathan sermonizing to King David. Even though Nathan was a lowly prophet, God chose him to speak the Word of the Lord to David, because we all need to hear God’s message to prevent us from straying from His path. David had become used to living as a sinner and needed to be brought back to the light by Nathan.

I use this story to remind listeners that minimizing our own mess and only focusing on the mess of others is a sign that we need to get our own houses in order. We should focus on our own relationship with God and try to live a righteous life before judging others. If we take our mess to Jesus, we can be cleansed and walk again by God’s side.

We end the sermon with a closing prayer for God’s forgiveness, and a recognition of the immense sacrifice that Jesus Christ made at Calvary to bring us back to His glory.

  • Try Jesus
    Sep 26 2021

In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I did an sermon on the importance of trying Jesus.  Sometimes we forget about the importance of God in our lives and try to exist without His guidance and help. When we’re struggling, we should turn to God, recognize Him as our Father and ask for Him to lead us. This is particularly important when it comes to our children, who we should bring to God through our prayers.

I read from the Book of Luke, chapter 9, verses 37-42, in which Jesus saves a boy who has been struck by a demon. The father cries out for Jesus, begging for his help. Jesus cast the evil spirit out of the boy and healed him, handing him back to his father. This shows us that we should bring our own children to God and ask for God to watch over them.

When we need help, we should always try Jesus first. Jesus holds almighty power and can help us, but will only be there for us if we keep trying Him and never give up. We end with a closing prayer to thank God for sending us Jesus so that we may be saved, and ask God to bring our children to Him so that they may try and know Jesus too.

  • Sin Ain’t Worth Your Soul
    Sep 12 2021

In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I give a timely reminder that sin ain’t worth your soul. Reading from the Book of Luke, chapter 9, verses 23-26, I discuss what it means to follow Jesus and to reject a life of sin. In this passage of the Bible, Jesus tells us that anyone who wants to be a disciple must deny themselves to place God at the center of their lives. When we follow Jesus it doesn’t matter who we are, as our faith is the only thing that matters.

Once we have denied ourselves and chosen to follow Jesus, we must take up our cross daily and reaffirm our commitment to the Lord. We must prepare ourselves for persecution and ask for the Lord’s help to weather the hatred and scorn of those around us. We should not retaliate, because it would cause us to sin and damage our eternal souls. Instead, we should be faithful disciples and witness the Lord whenever and wherever we can, choosing to love the kingdom of God over the ways of the earthly world.

We end with a closing prayer to thank God for sending us Jesus to wash the sins away from our souls.
