Ash Williams has a simple mantra: Say yes to everything. And thankfully, that extented to our invitation to be a guest on Food Bytes.

What a guest he turned out to be. Ash came armed with stories from his debut book (Almost) Killing it in Hollywood (Echo Publishing), a chronicle of his crazy adventures seeking international stardom. Trying his hand at everything from sitcom acting to online tickling videos, stand-up comedy and topless bartending, Ash paid the rent and his dues at the same time.

We also discover a more domestic Ash exists, as he shares his poached egg secret, a new recipe for a Mexican-style healthy treat and his special Ash Bulletproof Coffee.

The is no sitting on the fence with the Food Poll this week. Put your vote where your mouth is for your dumpling choice: Is it savoury or the golden syrup variety?

At the height of her swimming career, our guest this week Sam Riley won the hearts of the country as she powered her way to Olympic medals, Commonwealth Games glory, world records and world championships.

Sam chats to us about food, family, her memories of being an elite athlete on the world stage and her life today as a busy wife and mum.

And with the warmer weather on the way, Sam has a timely reminder about the importance of teaching kids to swim from a very early age.

Then we jump straight from the pool into the frying pan, with a hot topic for our Food Poll this week: Fried chicken ... yay or nay?
