We were a typical dysfunctional family of the 1960s. Our father, a second-generation alcoholic, ruled our home through fear—controlling water, electricity, noise, and daily life from the basement. If we walked too heavily or showered too long, he punished us by striking us on the head with his knuckles. Eventually, Mom divorced him and obtained restraining orders. Despite the abuse, all of us broke the cycle and chose healthier, more constructive lives. Learn how we coped with the pain and overcame the abuse, only by God's grace!
Thanks for listening to the Squall Line Podcast. Hope to do one a month and move up to every other week as time allows. Blessings. SMSgt (ret) Rick Fiske
