• The Art of Acceptance
    Aug 12 2020

Last night, I had discussed with my audiences that not everyone is on the spectrum has been loved and accepted by members of their families.    There are individuals who often play the role of the scapegoat or the black sheep.  In this episode, I am here to teach individuals that they can learn to accept it,  that members of their families abused them.   Let alone overcome what happened to them by leading fulfilling lives.

I wanted to let everyone know that I am planning on having a live version of the all autistic women's panel right here on podbean sometime next month.  Though this is not the actual panel, it is a promotion of the upcoming official panel in March 2021.    We will talk about autism, neurodiversity and employment issues.

While there are families who love and accept their autistic loved ones, sadly there are family members who punish others members in the family who live on the autism spectrum. This can often come through the form of abuse.

  • It's not About You

People on the spectrum often want friends and because most struggle to connect, they often find themselves. Because of this, people on the spectrum can often fall victim to narcissistic people and other predators.

  • Bonus: I am Not Promoting Violence
    Aug 6 2020

One thing that I often talk about is autism and violence and why they happen. That being said, I am not saying it's okay for individuals to act in such a manner.   In fact, I agree that it's not acceptable for individuals to hit people or engage in other destructive behaviors.  Still, I believe we should apply behavior replacement and learning how to communicate.

  • It is Implied You’re a Bully
    Aug 6 2020

In this episode, I talk about bullying by implication which doesn't come with name-calling, violence, or nasty pranks.  Rather, this bullying can be more subtle but also very hurtful.

  • Bad Company
    Aug 5 2020

One thing people on the spectrum often see is a place to belong and feel included.   However, many face situations where they don't.   In fact, it makes them feel they don't fit in socially.   People often convince them to work on their social skills and other autistic traits so other people will accept them.  However, I feel that one should not have to bend over backward just to feel included.

    Aug 4 2020

In this episode, I talk about bad and challenging behaviors in the public school system.   While most teachers, BCBA's and other professionals focus on behaviors by trying to blame the individuals and attempt to make them "Behave," none really are getting to the roots of the bigger picture..
